Amber, you have demonstrated courage, bravery, and intelligence. The negative comments here have just proved that your TED Talk is an important one. I wish all girls out there who have dreams and ambitions would watch this. Stay strong, Amber! You are a perfect example of "fearless" innovator. Thanks TEDxJacksonville for giving a perfect stage for a girl like Amber.
I never thought to consider social media as increasing empathy. Normally, the focus is on face to face interaction as a measure of empathy. I wonder if a failure to recognize social media's capacity for enhancing empathy is a sign of not embracing change.
i’m not suprised you are a computer programmer...don’t worry not every is against you,it’s something you learn when you get older...i thought this was about space debris apocalypse?
Yeeeah that one got me too, but if she just fumbled her words and meant she worked 990 hr over the course of the 64 wk she said she worked on the project then, that would make more sense and still be impressive - 10% of her time averaging 2.4 hr a day.
Really good, love it.

Shoutout to that science teacher!
The power of words! May teachers tell their students that they can do it! All you have to do is encourage. The students who believe will do the rest.
