I this is absolutley beautiful I have lots of this shells and yesterday I bought thos cosmic flakes how strange I know what my next project is think the universe as told me and I always gild my side with the flakes and they do stay put oh how I love to watch you create wonderful art you so inspirational and a fantastic really really enjoyed this tutorial thank you so much for sharing xx
Such kind words Anna, you’ve really brightened my evening. I’d love to see what you make, please tag me if you show your tray on FB or Instagram so I can have a look xx
I know I will get hate for this, but it really depends on the kind of resin you work with. The resin I use does not suggest you need a mask or any sort of respirator at all, and states in it's safety sheet it is safe as long as you use it in a room with good ventilation. Those edges came out fantastic btw, I have used mica to edge a coaster before, but adding the flake really made it pop!
Thanks so much for a great video. I love the way that you describe what you're doing every step of the way. I just need to find some abolone shell pieces, and I'm going to try this. Resin is a great hobby in these warm Arizona summer months!
You have turned me on to the world of resin and now you have created a monster! And I LOVE it! I also love how the edges of this tray look so natural! What a time to dive into creating “stuff” than during this pandemic. I was bad enough before and now I’m ten times worse for crafting. I even did something that I NEVER thought I would do. I taught myself to knit socks and believe me when I tell you that they will come in very handy during our cold Atlantic winters. 2020 will forever be known to me as the year of Covid-19, confinement crafting, creativity and a little craziness. Your voice is so sweet and gentle, you should read children’s books for profit! You could definitely lull me to sleep! Thank you again for your wonderful video. Please keep them coming. You’re such a wonderful beautiful person. 🤗
WOW! I love this tray, it is beautiful. As far as I'm concerned, you can go on and on as much as you like, it is great the way you explain what to do, and why! I find your videos so interesting as well as inspiring. Love your honesty, it always makes me smile. No matter what frame of mind I'm in, by the end of your video I'm always in a calm, but 'dying to have a go' mood. Thank you so much for sharing so much. Thank you. x
This video was so refreshing to watch. While it seems like everyone else is making faux geode resin tray videos, you've demonstrated how (1) the edges can be gilded before pouring the resin, (2) the tray mold can be used for projects other than faux geode or marble, and (3) the handles can also be made to compliment the tray. Don't get me wrong ... I like the geode look, but I want to see other styles and designs as well. Thank you, Louise.

Love this tray! I am in the U.S., so not sure if the resin for molding can be shipped to me. I'd love to try making my own handles. I looked in your U.S. Amazon shop and didn't see it, but I will order those beautiful abalone shells. It is not called abalone though, so I hope I will be buying the shells that you are using. Thank you for this awesome tutorial Louise! 🙌😍🐇💓💕🐶🐾😻🦜
This is exquisite Louise..Those shells in the centre are so pretty and make the tray look so dainty.I love this ,would be gorgeous with some beautiful antique candlesticks on it ..Or old glass pots🥰
Beautiful Louise, I have loads of those flakes from my card making, still unused! Great idea to line the edges with them and mica! I'm going to try that as it'll save time. Just need Abalone shells now.

Thank you so much for your comment. I know what you mean about seeing things repeated. I do like to try to change ideas around a bit.
