This has been a great game to play with our older and younger family members. It's fairly easy to learn and simple turns. We do love more complex games at times, bit it depends on our mood and who we're playing with.
I just brought the mini version yesterday, will see how well it goes down with the family
I didn’t know they had a mini version!
I like playing Azul with people who are new to games.
It's the lower price of the mini version that won me over. Azul for €20,- yes please.
The tiles make me want starburst too much
This game looks interesting, I honestly just love the colour I’m sure it’s easy to get into
I love this game! It is so much better than candy crush but equally addictive.
Strategy.. it is an 8.. if you want to think that far... else 4/5
Yeah, you can really look ahead in this game.
Azul is Just amazing
Great game, I love it, but the actual Candy Crush of board gaming has to be Potion Explosion, right?
That’s actually a great comparison, but I think potion explosion has a slightly better Theme implementation.
Disagree so much on the theme. If you've done any traveling to Portugal or other European cities, the tiles and theme is so satisfying and classy.
When I rate then, I am talking more about the type of game rather than how well it represents its real life counterpart. This feels like an abstract game to me, even though it is dressed up to be about Portugal.
I think he means the theme is there for aesthetics. It doesn’t have much of anything to do with the game mechanics.
You didn't explain how it works lmao
Do you think it’s worth it? Just kidding, maybe I was too hard on Azul, but a minute is not very long and in this case I wanted to make sure I used my time to set a low expectation. Are you already familiar with the game?
@@theperfectboardgame no loll. I was like okay it’s been a minute are you going to at least tell me how it works 😀 nice video though
You don't have to explain mechanics for a review per say. You can explain how it makes you feel and that's completely valid.
Not a fun puzzle to solve. I can't believe that a lot euro gamers call this cutthroaty, they are so unused to interaction that even a light indirect interaction like this one feels aggressive to them 😂
Too true.
It's not fun at all
It’s a little fun, right? I mean, when you consider... oh wait, nevermind.
Well I am gonna rephrase that:
I personally do not feel interested by the concept of Azul.
Yeah. My wife was disappointed when I told her about this review. She said, “but we play Azul all the time!” And I pointed out that we play it all the time because it is easy to introduce to people, not because either of us really LOVE the game.
@@theperfectboardgame interesting
I guess it IS kind of hard to explain better board games to others
