    Let's not forget how great of a practice tool that is! For a full-blown gig, it's limited, but man at this size, with the possibility of using headphones, with real captures, this is fantastic, go on your bed and practice without annoying anyone, great!

    2:16 amp only
    2:45 tonex one as OD into amp front
    4:00 tonex one as OD and preamp into amp fx return
    In my opinion using tonex one as preamp (without cab IR) into amp fx loop sounded worse than real amp (obviously), it has lost one dimension in dynamics. However its pros are already discussed in other yt videos, so this is a nice tool. Instead buying some high end amps, get their captures without cab and have fun with whatever you have by pluging this in your amp fx loop, or some power amp.
    Thank you Ola for valuable sound example!

      @vanespedals1023 22 дні тому

      Why do you think it sounds worse? Different yes but I read everywhere the captures are better than Kemper's?
      Ì would like to use my own captures and use a Fryette ps-2 on a 412 cab.
      Which saves my back and still get a great sound is my guess?

    Thanks for the honest review. I just picked up one of these and man is it cool. It my first modeler. The main reason I went w/ this over sometlike the Quad Cortex was because of the price. Sure it may not be as accurate as the quad but it’s a heck of a lot less expensive and I didn’t need all of the extra effects from the quad. 🤘

    So I can set this up to have a heavy gain tone, and then switch, to a clean tone, that say has delay on it or something? To switch on the fly. For one take guitar covers etc.
    Like I use Neural DSP Petrucci for my tones etc. But I Don't want to get into the complexity of midi pedals and controlling all that shit thru that. Would this pedal, and the ToneFX tones and app suite do the trick and I can put a heavy tone on one preset, and the stomp over to a clean tone etc?

    have mine pre ordered. come on sweetwater, ship it out! also i wish you would re do a video on the pod express, because that little box is pure fucking magic , just please read the user manual first so you know how to adjust gain without engaging the overdrive (actually its really simple you just click the alt button which takes you out of overdrives/distortion and turns that knob into a gain controller, you can also learn how to control eq as well as swap out different cabs and amps inside of it , honestly its' insanely versatile and inspirational once you have a fair idea how to navigate and there is little to no menu diving despite my long ass explanation here. i think if you spent more time with it you'd be stunned just how great it sounds and what a wide array of tones it is capable of

      @@ThePhantomnaut Just like that? because i have Tight Metal Pro II preamp pedal which comes with it's own FX Loops (you can google it) and thought: well i think for a pedal to run as preamp in the FX Loop Return of Amp, may need it's own FX Loop to run Delays and Reverbs...well, that's what i thought initially but never realize it was as simple as running them after the preamp.

    • @ThePhantomnaut
      @ThePhantomnaut 21 день тому +1

      I took a look at Amptweaker’s pedal and if you are using the ToneX One as the dedicated preamp followed by the delay and reverb, you can use the effects loop of Tight Metal Pro. You can also just put the ToneX One before the TMP’s input and make sure that pedal is as clean as possible to make use of the One’s amps. It really depends on what you are really looking for. My experience with preamp pedals without an effects loop is preamp to delay/reverb to my power amp. Very likely not gonna change when I get my One unit.
