If zidane had the PR at 21 and social media existed he would be even more known by the world. Difference between zidane and Bellingham is great. Zidane no matter what had that natural ability and could pass and dribble. His control was unbelievable. Bellingham doesn’t have that and never will. You know why this happens? Because England fans and the media, as per usual, stroke Jude's ego. You tell him he is world class, the next best thing since sliced bread, and guess what.....he developed an ego. Now he thinks he is bigger than the manager and badge. This is YOUR own doing. England does this with all their best players. Build them up, tell them how great and wonderful they are, then tear them down or watch them become the villain. And by the way, Spain ARE a better team than England, and they won that tournament WITHOUT Pedri and Rodri. Let that sink in.
Does he think he's bigger than the badge and the manager for Real Madrid? Does he under perform for them? No becuase he's managed by a World Class manager and he's a World Class player, so he wins the CL and La Liga at 20YO, whilst being named La Liga player of the year. Under Fraudgate Bellingham is dreadful and still scored 2 goals and 1 assist in a side that score 8 goals in 7 games.

Should Bellingham be more professional - yes. Is he a 20 year old and factually also one of the best players in the world - yes.

English fans and the media seriously need to wake up and get a reality check. Bellingham was voted Player of the Year in the Bundesliga and La Liga in back-to-back seasons at only 19 and 20. And he has a combined 37 goals and 20 assists in his past two seasons for Dortmund and Madrid. His attitude is precisely why he is so good. And it’s why he fits in so well at an elite club like Madrid. The English media and fans need to categorically get it through their heads that you need a team full of players with Bellingham’s attitude if you actually want to win a major tournament. You all seriously need to watch teams like Argentina and Real Madrid play much more often. Because their players are not only incredibly skillful but brash, arrogant, know the dark arts of the game, and have dog mentalities. This English aversion to “attitudes” needs to stop. Embrace it, own it, and get a team full of players with Bellingham’s mindset.

The sudden hate for Jude is why we never achieve anything. He’s got that dog in him that isn’t very English and proper, the same people who hyped him up are now trying to tear him down. England doesn’t know how to deal with superstars, that’s why we’ll never produce players like Messi or Ronaldo. Bellingham could be that guy for us but he’s already having to deal with unnecessary hate from limp fans.
The same people who hyped him up actually never watched him play for 90 mins game after game. That’s why they don’t rate him any more. He scored 20 or so goals for Real Madrid last season …. A lot of tap ins and didn’t actually control or run the games like people made him out to. The comparisons to zidane were embarrassing. He’s a decent player that’s all. He played as a striker too for some time at Madrid too which helped him score goals. There is nothing wrong with scoring tap ins and lots of goals but the problem with most fans who never saw him play properly is they thought he was some midfield magician who could dribble and pass etc and be like iniesta, xavi, zidane, etc when really he was never that guy and doesn’t have the skills or football brain to be that. He’s more of a goal scoring midfielder if that. The media have hyped him up its caused all this.

I was lucky enough to watch almost all of England’s games in person. And I’ve never seen a player watching himself on the big screen while the game was going on like Bellingham did. It was incredible.

Bellingham is an outstanding player, you don't go to Madrid and have the season he had by luck. However, he always wants to be the center of attention which is fine as long as it is not hurting the team, he is absolutely exhausted after 30 minutes because he overdoes it trying to be the start of the show. Football is a team sport individuals won't win it we have had so many great talents in England's past but if you don't gel well as a team you won't win international tournaments. I hope he grows and learns he is instrumental to our team but needs to change his attitude in fact other teams have this issue too whereby certain "Superstar" players are holding them back. England has great talent we just need synergy as a team and we can win a major tournament.

There was nothing wrong with Bellinghams work ethic, if he looked uninspiring it was because of other reasons, team set up, end of season Blues. I think we could have got much more for our Bellingham playing him deeper along side rice and Mainoo.

Southgate is right we have missed kalvin Philipps. Playing Bellingham as an 8 might have done a bit more to compensate for that.
Being Stuck out on the left, meant we could not profit from ball winning aspect of his game from deeper positions. Think rice would have been much happier too.
Scored a good goal v Slovaks and a nice header v Serbia but he was invisible in general play.

I think a lot of England fans thought he had an all around game as a 6 or an 8 and could control games and dictate play rather than just arriving in the box and popping up with moments. Doesn't seem to be anything more than a 10 at the moment.
England need to start getting to grips with the game and that will require the likes of Jude and Rice to get on the ball and be brave, dictate and be the engine room for the side. Talking about 200+ million £ for them 2 alone and that should be able to do more than willingly turn over possession.
