Wow - never been myself either! Would definitely need to budget and do a yarn stash review beforehand because I would go loca!! Thanks so much for the share. Very generous focus on all those little shops.
It was like walking into a magical wonderland! I dont think I’ll be buying much more yarn for the rest of the year.. lol. I have more than enough for a while :p
There are so many beautiful things to look at in this fibre festival. I'm going to my first fibre festival in October. I'm so excited. Thank you for sharing the experience. It's lovely to see how beautiful fibre festivals are around the world.
I am glad I found your channel! You have a really fun and chatty style and it was super to see you get so excited over the yarns you bought. Looking forward to see what you create from them!
I really enjoy the way you record the Fiber Festival - felt like I was there with you! You got so many beautiful things! And, I had to share that when I was a kid, we got the big Crayola 64 crayons box, my absolute favorite crayon was Periwinkle - I still love all the shades of blue!
@@themindfulknitter5574 I got so excited watching your Podcast! Here in Portland we start off the year with a Yarn Crawl and then 2 large yarn festivals that haven’t happened of course since 2019! To say I am excited is putting it lightly! Yes, we can all buy yarn on line or at our LYS but there is something about a yarn festival! It reminds me of Disneyland for fiber enthusiasts!
Seeing all that yarn makes me really want to go to Rhinebeck this year! Enjoy your haul! I can't wait to see what you make. I'm excited to see your fade sweater. I've always wanted to make a fade, but never jumped on the bandwagon.
The food situation was so relatable. I quit drinking expensive single origin coffee to get yarn and needles and things. Not a big sacrifice but it evens out.
I held my breath the entire time!!! I can't wait for ours here in NC next weekend!! My first one too! Any knitting tips for a beginner? I heard you say you knit a pair of socks in a day...I would live to do that. I have online classes that I signed up for because I wanna do garments sooo bad. Anyway thanks for sharing this was soooooo sooooo awesome!!!
Aw I’m so glad you enjoyed it! And welcome to the yarny family! 🥳 My biggest tips would be don’t give up if you think it’ll bring you joy, take advantages of online tutorials and any classes that peak your interest, and indulge in tools and materials that bring joy because it’ll make the knitting itself soooooo much better!
Thank you for the tour, so many beautiful yarns. 👍👍👍

Thank you! I’m super excited about the haul too :D I feel like I’m in a super shawl kick this year lol. We’ll see how long it lasts :p

Could I please ask, the name of the colour way, of the skein of La bien Aimee yarn you bought. It’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
It is the Fiori colorway. Thanks for asking! I totally forgot to mention it in the video- whoops!
