ISIS is creation of Israel with funding from United States of America. The mission of ISIS was two part. First, in Iraq to punish the iraqi government for NOT giving the rebuilding contracts to US and British companies but instead the contracts were awarded to china and Brazil and a few other countries but most China outbid all other companies. Let's not forget that each one of these countries in this region is a major historical attraction site that brings millions of tourists and billions of tourism dollars. The hosting and project coordination for this effort was by Turkey's Erdogan who took the opportunity to invade northern Syria and killing christian cities and Kurdish villages but he failed to finish his job so that's why US was angry towards him and portrayed him as the aggressor in the region. Erdogan knew that USA was digging up a hole for him similar to the hole they dug up for Saddam Hussein when they green lighted for him the invasion. So Erdogan is back to playing his political and military moves in the region safe. That's the summary of it. Now you know the truth behind it and you can put together the pieces of the puzzle 🧩 🧩 for the reason for creation of ISIS, its origin, intended work and major players in this so called civil war. How it ended? When Russia started to bomb ISIS locations and cells. Russian intervention in this war revealed that the US and Israel were the creators, incubators, and hosting forces for ISIS in the region. American news agencies went blank and silent about this subject because they were shown as the criminals to the whole world
Thank you for this video. Syria was on my list. Unfortunately I was working in South Sudan when this horrid war began. I am grateful to you for the video & immensely heartened to hope this is finally coming to an end. Inshallah. 🙏🙏🙏
I'm sitting here watching this horrendous level of destruction and I am close to tears. That such wonderful history was so senselessly destroyed by people who were too ignorant to know better is too much to bear. I can only imagine how the people of Palmyra felt and continue to feel. Yet they are smiling and friendly. God bless them. Great video guys. 🥰🤩
To try to erase History is the ultimate tragedy. And the zealots who chose to destroy people's lives and homes. It's sad and a wakeup call for all of us to stay aware. The video was and storytelling was documented so well. It's difficult to fathom why a group of people would do such a thing. It brought tears to our eyes. It's a story that needed to be told. We love you guys dearly.❤❤❤ Hope you guys are doing ok. 🙏🙏🙏 Harriet, Jim and Yuki
I never can begin to imagine how a group of people can be filled with such hatred/violence that they are willing to destroy everything in their path. May God have mercy! 😢
To be honest this video leaves me very depressed !!! I knew the history of Palmyra and what had happened but had not seen actual video touring the ruins. What a mess! I'm gathering strength for the next videos... obviously it won't be a happy series. From my heart I wish you both the best and I hope you are well. Regards
Thank you Alejandro! We want to show the reality of what people are dealing with in Syria for sure, but some of the following videos will be more for positive and focusing on the beauty of the people here 🥰❤️
I cried to see this senseless destruction but WANT to see the truth of it in a way that no network or news service could truly show. And it is not lost on me that you two are welcomed as visitors to a place where kindness and appreciation must be the only way to go forward. With this video, YOU made the sun come out and I am never so filled with hope as when I watch you take us to guarded places and hurting hearts and feel the earliest stirs of connection reborn.

Love your videos and the far flung places you go whether for fun or for serious themes as this one. Look forward to your journeys around the world and with family and each other. Never been to Palmyra, heard lot about it, closest was down and back thru the Suez in navy days. Hope you make it to the US some day.😊
I've been to Palmyra in early 90. Amaizing place. What happened is terrible disaster. No words. Together with my friend we had a very nice meeting with polish archeologists working there that time. Greetings from Poland. BTW we were students and we hitch hike that time ;)
Thank you is all i can say. I feel sad and priviledged that could watch your video of the devastation within Syria. A small glimpse of what never should have happened.
This is very sad video to watch! 😢this is a crime against the whole world to destroy historical city like this😪 Thanks for sharing the good and the bad. Stay safe and have fun traveling. Cheers 🌯🌯🤠

Devastating. And because it is all so recent one has to think too of the devastation of the ordinary lives of Syrian people. What a reminder of just how fragile the world is at our hands. By that I mean humanity at its most destructive. Thanks for the video. I watched the first reports of these events with whatever news could come out of Syria, but nothing brings home the scale of destruction like this. And the sheer bloody senselessness of it all.
Too many Westerners on the comments cry about the loss of some archeological ruins in Syria but never cared about the 4.5 million people killed as a result of the wars launched by the United States and its allies since 2001
It’s just so sad to think of those precious older cities were completely destroyed by people. It’s hard to understand such destruction by other human beings. It’s truly sad. The people that live there have to live with that destruction every single day. I can’t imagine the feelings they have to deal with every day. I can’t think of the right words, just sadness. To think these cities have stood for hundreds of years and then in a vengeful act during war all of it is destroyed. Thanks for sharing with us. It does us good to remember how other people have to live. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@MattandJulia I was visiting ICARDA, the International Centre for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas, and staying in Aleppo. ICARDA was near Aleppo but was forced by the war to relocate to Lebanon. I have fond memories of these places.
And let us not forget other horrors like the temple in Afghanistan or the bridge in Mosul or Cambodia bombings of a whole country, and on and on. Sad and depressing. Yet your reports show hope. Thanks again
The tears came watching your visit to Palmyra. Having visited there in 2008 before the vandals came and destroyed it. They even blew up the funeral towers! I can't believe the destruction wrought by these fundamentalists! But thank you so much for going there.
I want to cry at the horrible destruction of a beautiful site. How men could have done this is pure evil. I may never be able to visit but your visit showed me what I feared since 2015.
im happy you guys filmed that place so that the world could see what happened. what they did to that place was disgustingly horrible. the only reason why an army would want to destroy an ancient city is because the ones controlling them are trying to hide either some ancient technology or history from the people there.
Im from syria Latakia, palmyra is super beautiful and i really wish i went there but even now i wouldnt go to palmyra as it can be a bit unsafe/ dangerous however it is extremely beautiful❤️
Remember that happening and i was gutted. I love history and hate to see its destruction. Theres no excuse for it in my opinion😢 . Is there any chance of it being restored or is it still to unstable there. I hate to think of it being attacked again. We all forget we are living someones history.

The destruction of Syria and so many historical sights that are treasures of humanity is something I will never forgive. What Isis did to destroy the region is absolutely despicable. Gaza is now suffering a similar fate to Syria. Inshallah we shall see peace and justice soon 🤲 🇵🇸 🇸🇾 🇱🇧 🇸🇩 🇸🇴 🇾🇪 🤲 🕊️ 🌍

Although I perfectly understand wanting to restore and rebuild this city to its once former glory, I don't think they should for 2 main reasons: A) Even if the city was perfectly restored to the way it was before it was destroyed, it just wouldn't be the same, and B) I feel as though it would be like trying to hide the bruises and scars inflicted upon you from an abusive partner. (If you cover up the pain, you'll never be able to get help, heal, and move on with your life...) Pain, unfortunately, is an essential part of life; it's a constant reminder that we are alive, but it's also a constant reminder of just how destructive we can be and that we should strive never to be like that!
You look at the countries Middle East and the Mediterranean as they once were and see that they were the 'seat' of civilisation. Engineering, mathematics, architecture, astronomy, navigation, medicine etc, were all highly advanced for the time. When you look at them now and even without the effects of more modern warfare, you wonder what happened. The discontinuation of progress and they're demise seems to have started over a thousand years ago.
Could this have been prevented? I don't know. But perhaps we can prevent it happening again, elsewhere. Then again, maybe it's just an old man's dream.😢 Thank you for bringing this to us. Take care, be safe.❤
When war started I was so sick hearing about the destruction, then shaken by what people went through... Now with it happening all again in Ukraine there is just no more heart to break. Thank you for showing me what remains. I long to touch the stones, to feel the makers, to feel the stories they hold but would probably just sit and cry. Thank you for being more mature than I.

Heartbreaking, shocking, unimaginable are the epithets which come to mind. Loss and chaos created by a radicalized force. Contrary to the common belief, more often than not, ISIS recruits were educated and wealthy people, not people struck by poverty and uneducated. This makes this particular destruction of the site of humanity's great wealth somehow even more incomprehensible.

@@MattandJulia With respect, I beg to differ. Islam is the only major religion that doesn't contemplate peaceful coexistence with nonbelievers. The Quran and especially the Hadith teach that there can only be peace on earth when Islam reigns supreme and all nonbelievers have been converted to Islam or killed. In other words, extermination of nonbelievers is the only way to achieve the Muslim notion of "peace."

Share, share, share that is the only thing. I have no words after seeing this. Such courage you have
Thank you so much Lise 🙏🏼❤️
Stunning in every way ! Thank you ! 🙏💕🌷
Thank you Yvonne 🙏🏼❤️
This was so sad to watch. The devastation of the beautiful ruins still show how magnificent this site was. I will never understand the ideology of that group of people.
Not one sane person will ever come close to understanding that group 😩
ISIS is creation of Israel with funding from United States of America. The mission of ISIS was two part. First, in Iraq to punish the iraqi government for NOT giving the rebuilding contracts to US and British companies but instead the contracts were awarded to china and Brazil and a few other countries but most China outbid all other companies. Second part for the work of ISIS was remove the Syrian government under Bashar al Assad and install a puppet government that would turn Syria into another iraq with destruction of everything. Destruction of major historic sites such as Palmyra was intention by Israel because Syria is a major competitor for Israel as to religious and historic sites tourism. Israel took the opportunity to destroy not only major infrastructure of the country but also its historic sites and killed people who knew this history such as the man mentioned 8n this video in order to completely wipe out the place and to deviate all tourism dollars towards Israel. Let's not forget that each one of these countries in this region is a major historical attraction site that brings millions of tourists and billions of tourism dollars

Second part for the work of ISIS was remove the Syrian government under Bashar al Assad and install a puppet government that would turn Syria into another iraq with destruction of everything. Destruction of major historic sites such as Palmyra was intended by Israel because Syria is a major competitor for Israel as to religious and historic sites tourism in addition to the threat it poses to the existence of Israel . Israel took the opportunity to destroy not only major infrastructure of the country but also its historic sites and killed people who knew this history such as the man mentioned in this video in order to completely wipe out the place and to deviate all tourism dollars towards Israel. American news agencies went blank and silent about this subject because they were shown as the criminals to the whole world
@@MattandJuliaI don’t think any of you understand who the Dawla are and what they want.
Thank you for this video. Syria was on my list. Unfortunately I was working in South Sudan when this horrid war began. I am grateful to you for the video & immensely heartened to hope this is finally coming to an end. Inshallah. 🙏🙏🙏
Great job of storytelling. Peace on Earth. ❤
Thank you so much ❤️✌🏻
I'm sitting here watching this horrendous level of destruction and I am close to tears. That such wonderful history was so senselessly destroyed by people who were too ignorant to know better is too much to bear. I can only imagine how the people of Palmyra felt and continue to feel. Yet they are smiling and friendly. God bless them. Great video guys. 🥰🤩
Thank you so much Nix, really appreciate your support ❤️🙏🏼
I think it was not exactly ignorance but rather utter radicalization. Level of education for instance had nothing to do with it.
it fills me with sadness and despair what ISIS did to so many culturally / historical sights in the name of extreme religion
An absolute travesty 💔
Not isis mofo it is iran with bashar alassad
To try to erase History is the ultimate tragedy. And the zealots who chose to destroy people's lives and homes. It's sad and a wakeup call for all of us to stay aware.
The video was and storytelling was documented so well. It's difficult to fathom why a group of people would do such a thing. It brought tears to our eyes. It's a story that needed to be told.
We love you guys dearly.❤❤❤ Hope you guys are doing ok. 🙏🙏🙏 Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Thank you so much guys, really glad you found it interesting! Lots of love to you both 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️
I never can begin to imagine how a group of people can be filled with such hatred/violence that they are willing to destroy everything in their path. May God have mercy! 😢
If god exist he will have to beg Syrians for Forgiveness
Couldn’t agree more @Back in Nebraska
Too many People wish They were never born

This is a perfect example of the quote from 1785 man’s inhumanity to man. This makes me so sad and angry. Please stay safe and thank you for sharing this journey.

Hi Julia and Matt. New subsciber here🙋♂️ from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Excellent work u 2.
War Kills!! Remove seeds of war plant seeds of peace!! Greetings from New York city.
I have no words, just intense sadness.
You and us both 💔
This is very sad video to watch! 😢this is a crime against the whole world to destroy historical city like this😪 Thanks for sharing the good and the bad. Stay safe and have fun traveling. Cheers 🌯🌯🤠

My lovely city I hope I will back someday😢
Beautiful culture was between rome and persia
My first visit and it will definitely remain the best for me❤
My dear poor country what did they do to you ? 💔
This place. Ive always wanted to visit. And then i watcjed in horror being destroyed
Heart-heartbreaking
Devastating. And because it is all so recent one has to think too of the devastation of the ordinary lives of Syrian people. What a reminder of just how fragile the world is at our hands. By that I mean humanity at its most destructive. Thanks for the video. I watched the first reports of these events with whatever news could come out of Syria, but nothing brings home the scale of destruction like this. And the sheer bloody senselessness of it all.
As a Syrian i wish i was aborted
So glad you found it insightful Lindy 🙏🏼❤️
Too many Westerners on the comments cry about the loss of some archeological ruins in Syria but never cared about the 4.5 million people killed as a result of the wars launched by the United States and its allies since 2001
Love, Peace and Happiness to all of us, we are all bleeding red.
Best wishes from Hamburg ☮️🕊️❤️
Love this comment so much Michael 🥰❤️
The reaction you had in the amphitheatre was the same reaction I had when I visited the Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afghanistan.
Now that, is something we want to see!! ❤️🙏🏼
Wow.. mixed feeling to see this. But the people is wonderful. Nice video & keep it up.
Thank you so much we will ❤️
I was there over 20 years ago. Its destruction was tragic. Are you going to Aleppo?
Wow, would have loved to have seen it before ❤️ We are yes 🙏🏼
@@MattandJulia I was visiting ICARDA, the International Centre for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas, and staying in Aleppo. ICARDA was near Aleppo but was forced by the war to relocate to Lebanon. I have fond memories of these places.
One of your best videos
And let us not forget other horrors like the temple in Afghanistan or the bridge in Mosul or Cambodia bombings of a whole country, and on and on. Sad and depressing. Yet your reports show hope. Thanks again
Indeed, so much pain caused 💔
The tears came watching your visit to Palmyra. Having visited there in 2008 before the vandals came and destroyed it. They even blew up the funeral towers! I can't believe the destruction wrought by these fundamentalists!
But thank you so much for going there.
I’m glad we could share it 🙏🏼❤️
I want to cry at the horrible destruction of a beautiful site. How men could have done this is pure evil. I may never be able to visit but your visit showed me what I feared since 2015.
Thank you so much Shelly 🙏🏼❤️
So glad it will be restored. History matters.
im happy you guys filmed that place so that the world could see what happened. what they did to that place was disgustingly horrible. the only reason why an army would want to destroy an ancient city is because the ones controlling them are trying to hide either some ancient technology or history from the people there.
Glad we could share it 🙏🏼❤️
Im from syria Latakia, palmyra is super beautiful and i really wish i went there but even now i wouldnt go to palmyra as it can be a bit unsafe/ dangerous however it is extremely beautiful❤️

Heartbreaking 😪
Completely and utterly 💔😔

A loss to humanity to never be seen amore 😢 beyond weeping
Hi guys! Much love to you both! It just breaks my heart about how this crazed barbarism of this kind of mentality that Isis has! Peace to you Syrian people! How can anyone who is of a normal mind do such things! I just don’t understand why anyone would want to destroy their beautiful history!
Matt and Julia, where are you from?
Such a waste for no reason😢
Literally, zero reason 😩
So sad . Really sad . Why people do that to other people . 😢😢😢
Absolutely barbaric 💔
Another exemple showing how Ignorance is one of the biggest root of Evil.
Ignorant people destroyed this, because they believed there can only be one Truth, that is theirs and that all signs of any other way must be erased.
You my friends, by doing what you do are actively fighting Ignorance by showing us People all this and all of your videos are source of Knowledge and Understanding.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you,Mash'Allah
Firstly, no offence Matt mate, a wet and long kiss back for Julia, Hahahahaha, LOL. I love you guys and the content you make and present is exceptional. Just keep doing what you guys do, I hope your travels and work brings joy to you because it definitely brings joy to me.
Although I perfectly understand wanting to restore and rebuild this city to its once former glory, I don't think they should for 2 main reasons:
A) Even if the city was perfectly restored to the way it was before it was destroyed, it just wouldn't be the same,
and B) I feel as though it would be like trying to hide the bruises and scars inflicted upon you from an abusive partner. (If you cover up the pain, you'll never be able to get help, heal, and move on with your life...)
Pain, unfortunately, is an essential part of life; it's a constant reminder that we are alive, but it's also a constant reminder of just how destructive we can be and that we should strive never to be like that!
Perhaps yes. In fact many parts of the city are beyond repair 😩
Just think of all the sites that would be historical that just disappeared before any recording happened
I am so glad l got to see Palmyra before Isis ran amok there. Are there any tower tombs left standing?
You look at the countries Middle East and the Mediterranean as they once were and see that they were the 'seat' of civilisation. Engineering, mathematics, architecture, astronomy, navigation, medicine etc, were all highly advanced for the time. When you look at them now and even without the effects of more modern warfare, you wonder what happened. The discontinuation of progress and they're demise seems to have started over a thousand years ago.
Too many fingers trying to get to the pie 💔
I remember when I heard that Isis did this, my heart was broken for myself and everyone else who would never see it.😢
It is a trade guy of epic proportions 💔
Could this have been prevented? I don't know. But perhaps we can prevent it happening again, elsewhere. Then again, maybe it's just an old man's dream.😢 Thank you for bringing this to us. Take care, be safe.❤
Thank you so much 🙏🏼❤️

Is it possible to reconstruct anything? Some of the columns look tipped, not shattered. Of course, the country has no money for reconstruction.

The old RUINS NEED to be demolished & developed
Amazing so beautiful
The Good.... some is still there. If they rebuild little by little
War...what is it good for? Absolutely nothing. The ruins are a shame. But the damage to people is far worse than that.
A crime on the culture of humanity!!
Islam has no respect for other faiths.
As a Syrian Christian, I tell you, we do not expect respect from them, we only demand life
The actions of these Neanderthals definitely doesn’t represent an entire religion 🙏🏼
