Some Says it was a real Character but Maula jutt story actually came from a Novel name Gandasa , which was written by most famous writer Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, who knows the writer got those names from some real life characters or its just an imaginary story.

I only discovered this movie after watching the legend of maula jatt and I can honestly say as an avid western movie viewer that the original despites its lack of modern technology and bad audio is way better than the remake, the dialogues the acting the message is very profound, RIP sultan rahi!
The original was so terribly ridiculous that it became a cult. Lashari’s reinterpretation is a work of genius and sublime art. It is still ridiculous, still fantastical, but in such an exceptionally good way.
@@Thothali you must not fully understand the Punjabi cultural nuisances of the original film.
@@detroitdawg81 Perhaps we define culture very differently or understand Punjabi culture very differently. There was no nuance and plenty of nuisance in the original. Its saving grace and its one shining jewel was the exceptional hyperbole that all its dialogue was. So so much more to Punjabi culture than that.
@@Thothali well not just the dialogue but Maula actually accepting Daro as his sister and saying he would die even if she wished to protect her honor and noori chopping off his leg to do justice for breaking Maulas friend moodas leg and the ending of it being a justice driven system in society was very different and culturally relevant in the original. If you look at the remake then maula is a drunk out for revenge and noori is a savage that kills his own dad and their is just gore and violence and no mercy shown no honor protected. Maula was only out for revenge of his parents killers, shallow and barbaric storyline and subpar acting from fawad and mahira in particular. To each their own Original still takes the cake for me!
Its so stupid. It never makes sense when you compare a movie with its classic version. The classic definitely has a factor of nostalgia that that makes it special. Also, the modern version is not a scene to scene remake. It is taking the original concept to a far greater level.
And they have excelled in it. You have no idea how difficult it is to remake a classic of the stature like Maula Jatt. It was the movie of the decade when it released.
To remake that and still get crazily accepted by the audience is like hitting a milestone.
