Must have been a real thrill seeing this rock and roll diva again.
Highly recommend their greatest hits.
Her voice was charming then .. it's a beautiful alto tonality now. Wonderful.. have the years really passed by that fast?? Seems like yesterday.. a great group!!
It's good to see you all are still singing. A good classic never goes out of style.
Elaine "Spanky" McFarlane is still alive and singing at age 81... as of the date of this comment post (Saturday 28 October 2023)
How great to know. Sunday Will Never Be The Same is one of the favorite songs of my childhood.
I’m only 62 and I can’t hear myself fart. ……Good one God,Al Bundy.
Female background singers on here detract from the feel of “Like to get to Know You”. That ditty dude, Spsnky and her co lead soared.
I watch and listen to them all the time
Still great!
I THINK the guy on the far right sitting on the stool is Nigel Pickering. He always wore a hat later in life. He just died recently. Hard to see him. Just a glance. If so, original member.
Is the guy singing with Spanky "Ken Hodges" from the original lineup? Can someone tell me what year this was recorded?
2007
@@GeeBee909 Many thanks for that. :-)
Is that actually Elaine Spanky McFarlane?
Yes, the voice has changed a little, but it’s her.
@@bettied thanks
@@bettied she always has been a little on the pudgy side, but I would say her voice got even fuller after all the years usually it diminishes with age, sadly she is the only one left of the origional group, I learned having come across lazy day in my play list recomendationsa about a month ago, and it fit two days later for the 4th of july it was hot but it was soo nice on the fourth and the fifth of july, I remembered hearing it on the oldies radio years back, it was brutal for so many on independance day but it was cloudless here in indiana.
Yes
Anybody know what year this was?
First copyright says 2007 so I would say it was recorded in 2007
Terrible terrible song.
