i saw him in like 2012 and i got too high off edibles bc i was like 15 or smth so literally everything became blurry and was like a fog of sound, i couldn't see anything. he was playin these videos of hands touching fabric or smth like off the cover of held and it was the most intense thing i had to go lie down outside the venue. wish i could be in that fog with my mind now
Use synths with 80's/90's ethereal sounds, 80% percent of the presets on there can be applied to music like this. A lot of (campy) 80's/90's new age production used these sounds, just search for it on YT and you'll hear the resemblance. Also, put a lot of shimmer reverb on a lot of elements. The rest comes down to talent.
