What on earth would compel someone to give this a thumbs down? Even if it's not your type of music, this guy has an amazing voice and is pouring his heart out singing a very emotional song. I pity anyone that can't appreciate that but you’ve got to be a special type of miserable asshole to give this a thumbs down.
Man, could you imagine going to this random music festival and hearing this kid playing a song like this and never heard of him before... I’d be fuckin hypnotized by this dude hearing his music for the first time live.
I had a group of friends that heard SteelDrivers with Chris Stapleton at one of these random music festivals. I tell anyone if you want to hear the best music, you’ll not find it on a major record label these days.
Right up there is the second verse of Lost Dog Street Bands' song, September Doves. "My grandmother's lullabies used to sing me to sleep. I can't sleep nowadays without liquid relief. Well if lullabies were whiskey then my Grandma's drinks were cheap. I can't afford sleep anymore.
He was 21 when I first heard him. Live, tiny bluegrass bar, Lexington, Kentucky. Fun birthday night for me and family and friends! 25 people in attendance.
i've been around for about 50 years now and i've never heard any music as good as this gentleman makes. no music has ever made me feel like this music makes me feel. it's an awesome feeling to go along with some truly special music.
txdrifter38 I was first introduced to his music last April whilst driving around the Rocky Mountains of Colorado! Memories I’ll have with me forever! Nose on the grindstone in particular is one of my favourites
@@Bumskinz14 driving around the rockies listenin to some of this music sounds like a memorable experience. beauty everywhere all around you. man i'm sorta jealous.
txdrifter38 It was something else mate! I live in England and went out there to visit a friend! it was the perfect setting for a Tyler song. Crazy! I recorded a few videos on my phone with him in the background and watched them back lastnight. Miss that place
Booger Balls yea seen him on jimmy cumfull and didn’t even click on it.. don’t wanna give jimmy the views or hear Tyler sell out... sucks nvr thought I’d not wanna hear a live song from this dude
Glad to see some country singers worth listening to these days, country music has got a future because of these guys, Childers, Cody Jinks, Cody Johnson and Colter Wall!
I'm obsessed with this man's voice so mesmerizing!! Single-handedly got me liking old school country and listening to more Bluegrass which I already liked!! Wish I could have been one of those people in the crowd so badly want to hear him in person and it looks like he's at Ritter Park which is absolutely awesome I walk there all the time!!
The fact he has been working this long just to blow up lately is mind blowing. Such a easy guy to relate to, his music speaks to small town America’s soul.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard...brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it (and I've listened to it about 854 times, just guessing). I love this young man's voice, his songs are so real and true. He is an amazing musician.
If I was randomly at this festival… I would be absolutely stopped in my tracks when I heard this. I still remember the feeling when I first heard this song.
no matter where i ever was, if i heard this voice coming out over a microphone, i’d stop and listen and find where it was coming from. truth to my soul.
If that's not a classic country voice, I don't know what is. You can hear the emotion he sings with and pulls the emotion out of you. First time I've ever heard him. Damn, he's good!
... so I let that car just sit there, when I should’ve took you driving; with the windows down, while the music played. I’ve always loved this song. It speaks to so many different situations besides the one type of relationship it intended. As we sit here in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I can’t help but think about all the drives we all should’ve took. God willing, when this is over, we will shut up and drive.
Just Awesome...I could lay here on the front Porch and listen to every song he sings, and wouldnt be any relaxed than I am now....Listening to this song..
Woooooow. I. CAN. NOT. WAIT. Sturgill & Tyler's concert. Concert of the year. : Also side note how do you not hear him and instant quit your job to be that kid's manager. Here in ATX there's tons of good talent but that's just a special voice right there.
Yellowstone, one of the best series ever brought me to find Tyler childers, one of the best artists ever.. so happy to find all his amazing songs.. what a talent. Hi from Ireland 🇮🇪
This is one of the best versions of this song in case anybody is wondering I already checked! These vocals give me chills haha get it Childers haha I'm dead 😂
My brother and his friends were just looking for something to do on a slow day in Huntington when they happened to find themselves within earshot of a young Tyler Childers performing this song at an event just like this (it may very well be this day, I’m not sure). I remember him telling me the next day about finding a great local artist and how he writes songs that can make your heart stop. His agenda for that afternoon shifted to listening for as long as Tyler would continue to sing.
Young Rainjacket You’re so right! Makes me so stoked to see him back then, just as good as he is now, with that unpolished talent. True beauty. Incredible.
I've watched this so many times, I've now turned to the crowd. How he catches folks as they walk by. Dumb struck by what just hit them. The soul knows.
How are there people in the back ground just standing there not paying attention. I would be sitting on the ground crisscross apple sauce watching him and just mesmerized.
GREAT from the very beginning!! Having this guy records and this kind of videos saved my long and lonely quarantine here in the Basque Country...THE BEST WISHES FOR HUNTINGTON MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL , FOR TYLER, AND FOR EVERYBODY HERE!!!
This song could be 12 minutes long and it wouldn't be enough
Just stumbled across this. Lord your right.
Perfectly said
CHEERS!!!!!
Amen!!!
Incredible Talent!
The 19 people that gave this a thumbs down probably listen to Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line. Tyler is the epitome of a true country artist
Preach it brother!
😂😂😂😂

Nothing wrong with Luke Bryan. Be nice

Man, could you imagine going to this random music festival and hearing this kid playing a song like this and never heard of him before... I’d be fuckin hypnotized by this dude hearing his music for the first time live.
The Walnut Valley Festival does that to me every year.
I had a group of friends that heard SteelDrivers with Chris Stapleton at one of these random music festivals. I tell anyone if you want to hear the best music, you’ll not find it on a major record label these days.
100%…. Lyrics and tone of his voice would stop me in my tracks
Haha seriously, like "who is that, and what in the hell is he doing here!?"
everyone knew what was destine for the kid after the first couple of sentences had to be magical
The random people In the background not realizing they’re in the presence of greatness
This is one of the best. Theres no comparison to this performance. "til they raised the price of dreams so high I couldn't pay" is an all time lyric.
Right up there is the second verse of Lost Dog Street Bands' song, September Doves.
"My grandmother's lullabies used to sing me to sleep.
I can't sleep nowadays without liquid relief.
Well if lullabies were whiskey then my Grandma's drinks were cheap.

@@benhudson9226I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING

You can feel something when you’re listening to his music.
Dang, this song gives me chills every time I hear it. “Till they raised the cost of dreams so high I couldn’t pay.” Such good stuff.
Amazing shit
Same! What a voice.
Wrote by a kid no more than 20 years old
His high notes send absolute chills through my bones.Hes so incredibly talented
My favorite song of his.
This is a testament to how a blessing can be right in front of us and we're too busy or what not to realize it at the time.
A bit sad aint it
I wish Tyler all the best, but I hope to hell those greasy money-grubbers in Nashville keep their hands off of him. Keep it honest.
Very true!
yup
Booger Balls yea seen him on jimmy cumfull and didn’t even click on it.. don’t wanna give jimmy the views or hear Tyler sell out... sucks nvr thought I’d not wanna hear a live song from this dude
Sarah Hardin that’s not your real face... js
It’s a shame he did sell out. He was so drunk at the concert in pikeville he was over an hour late to get on stage. He’s a rockstar now..
I think hes around 17 there? Which is insane! His talent is incredible. Him & Colter Wall are the future.
Chris Gleeson Flood he was 20.
Don't forget Cody Jinks man.
Cody not so much but Wall Childers and Sturgill Simpson dream show ...
Glad to see some country singers worth listening to these days, country music has got a future because of these guys, Childers, Cody Jinks, Cody Johnson and Colter Wall!
He was 19 when bottles and Bible's came out
From Bottles and Bibles to Long Violent History. This man gone a long way.
They way this was recorded with that echo was pretty special, will never be able to replicate it to that level of perfection again
Nah he did it well when he played it live when I saw him.
I'm obsessed with this man's voice so mesmerizing!! Single-handedly got me liking old school country and listening to more Bluegrass which I already liked!! Wish I could have been one of those people in the crowd so badly want to hear him in person and it looks like he's at Ritter Park which is absolutely awesome I walk there all the time!!
little does he know what his career would be like 8 years later. giving me chills
I can’t tell the difference between his recordings and the live songs he plays because there is none he’s just that good
Live on Red Barn Radio is my very favorite. Better than the recordings.
i would give my life savings to go back and be there right now
The fact he has been working this long just to blow up lately is mind blowing. Such a easy guy to relate to, his music speaks to small town America’s soul.
This guy is unreal, that voice is one in a million
Billion
Till they raised the price of dreams so high I couldn’t pay, wow
Im convinced this is the greatest video ever taken.
Is this the first time a country singer wore a bow tie? Well it wouldn’t have mattered. Tyler’s raw talent and emotion is on full display.
The most beautiful opening to any song I've ever heard...
Can you imagine walking by and hearing this and then falling in love with each and every word and it hits your ears and soul
What the name of this song?
Shake the Frost @@mimiandpapaw9680
You know he was hand picked by the lord ❤how amazing can you be I could listen to him all day ❤❤❤
This is my hometown. Hard to believe I just had to fight for tickets to see this kid play Red Rocks, well deserved! 💕
The song writing on this song is insane. So perfectly poetic 👏
Tyler is amazing. Everything he does is golden.

I love how he sings with his eyes closed. He feels it.

Love the guy in the maroon shirt realizing what he's hearing and moves over for a closer look.
This will be my wedding song next year
that was truly something special. literally never heard a song that brought me to tears until today. damn
The best rendition of the best country song ever made.
One of the most beautiful love songs of all time, the lyrics are jaw dropping
how was this not a viral video...that voice.
Todd Elliott it’s 7 years old
Why isnt this played on the radio every day.!!best damn country song out
This is nothing short of amazing. Spread this everywhere.
This man is gunna be a legendary song writer. Hes probably gunna have artists paying him to write there music some day..
If that's not a classic country voice, I don't know what is. You can hear the emotion he sings with and pulls the emotion out of you. First time I've ever heard him. Damn, he's good!
Still on repeat after all these years
Have mercy, that's good stuff.
2:10-2:15 he remembers exactly who this song is about
100% man. He sings with so much heart how can you not love the guy. Makes me proud to be a Kentucky boy.

Hands down my absolute favorite recording of this song
They raised the price of dreams so high, I couldn’t pay…
I can just picture my great grandfather drinking moonshine listening to this barefooted
One of the best versions of the best songs ever written. God, I can feel it in my stomach. Love is dangerous
Ritter Park is one Huntington’s seldom used gems. A great place to catch a play or concert.
A kid pops in your elevator ride & smashes all the buttons & hops out kinda song. Wide range of emotion.
One of the most talented musicians I've seen in a long time.

What I would give to travel back to this time and space just to witness it myself
And nobody knew they’d witnessed greatness in this moment
this is the best version, something about the reverb and tone. it feels like thoughts i couldn’t think myself.
I could listen to this man read the phone book.
Reminds me of my home in pocahontas Virginia when I was a younger man before all the work and the bills got in the way
What a fucking babe. His music makes me cry ugly tears. His voice hits the deepest part of my soul... 🖤🖤🖤
that was killer. the country music highway is for real. US 23 KY.
This is the 20th time I’ve watched this. Tyler is incredible
Wish he would come to Australia, love to witness that magic live
In love with this man's voice! Most amazing music and lyrics I've heard in a while. I listen to him everyday. Thank you for your words of truth.
He honestly touches my soul....silly I know but dag nabbit WOW
One of the most simplest of songs sang with an emotion that could bring any human being tears!
