Thanks for the swift and informative videos, Brian! I've been enjoying your series on Pardot. If you had to choose between a Custom Report Type and running a Joined Report, what would you go for? I'm sure "it depends" is the probable answer, but I'm curious what your thoughts are on the two. :)

Thanks for watching! I would always choose a custom report type over a joined report if I could. Sometimes joined reports are your only option. They add complexity and are more difficult to build and read.

Custom report types let you select what related and objects to pull from in a report. You only need to create one if one of the standard report types isn't solving your problem.
A joined report, combines two or more report types that have a shared object. The report types used in a Joined Report can be custom or standard.
