Chris: "Now the children of Israel, they were saved by the blood of the Lamb, and that allowed them to come out of Egypt. But when they came out of Egypt, Egypt came after them. It saved them from the wrath of God but it didn't save them from the enemy and it didn't save them from the old world. What saved Israel from the old world, and what brought about a dividing line between them and the enemy, them and Pharoah? It was the water. It was the water that brought about the separation between them and the old life."
Ken: "So you're saying that the water that they went through cut off the carnality of Egypt so that it would be left behind and now they could step into the new life of freedom?"
Chris: "Exactly. We conflate the blood and the water but each has its own separate purpose."

that doesn't make sense....if Egypt was no longer in them in the desert they would all have entered the promised land,,,ok Moses an exception,? ,,,the water never even touched them, let alone baptised them
