Awesome video. You guys please stay safe and well protected from the virus.Looks like the farm is growing as well as the family.May God in all glory bless you and your family in this crisis.👍👍👍👍👍
Love your videos. Just found your channel in late March, or April. Subscribed right away. Thanks for sharing your family's life, and faith. Cali popped right out from behind the bench when she sensed Houston's reaction to that thunder. I had a white German Shepherd who was the same way with storms. When my niece and nephew got startled by thunder one evening, she left my side to love and nuzzle on them. Animals can be really amazing. Thanks again.
Big shout out to the Arms family here from Dry Hollow homestead! Thank you for putting us onto the MI gardener and seed company. We just ordered a huge amount of seed from Migardener.com. Shipped immediately. Excited for this growing season and our first year with a greenhouse. Thanks again!
Houston is adorable, and it’s fabulous that you’re teaching him all the things you do. It’s fun for him now (most of the time) but later on in life he will really appreciate it. Not to mention all the wonderful memories made with dad. Doesn’t get any better than that!
Arms family your videos are a blessing at a time like this. Nothing in the world is more important than home and family, especially now. Thank you for sharing your normal with us, stay positive, and please give Gemma some love. She’s a cutie. Stay well.
Looking forward to your new gardening videos. I purchased my first home last year, so this will be my first growing season. Im excited to learn new things and grow some our own food! Love watching your old videos . I look for them every day lol. Thank you Arms family!
I would like to take just a moment to Thank You for protecting your community throughout this mess we are in. My son is a firefighter and EMT so he is also out there working. If it wasn’t for people like you and all the rest first responders we would all be in a fix. again. THANK YOU VERY MUCH GOD BLESS PLEASE STAY SAFE
We had a lab that was terrified of storms! She would shake and just looked pitiful. Felt so bad for her. You all stay safe. Keeping all of you in my prayers 💕
Our weather was been similar. Finally got some real rain today in CA not as hard as you guys, we really need it. Stay safe guys. The world has officially gone crazy. Tina, bless her little heart, shes just not that bright. lol. you better take off your shoes before you go inside, keep mom happy, no messes. hope it clears up soon for y’all.
Almost time for bigmac to go to freezer camp 😁, cant wait to see what you come up with this year on growing different ways. Im actually about to do that bucket cucumber you showed at the end.
Hello Dutch I like watching your vedios here and I just wanted to tell you that when you grow your cucumbers in the bucket like Daniel is talking about here after the roots get started out like they are there in the clip take them out of the little cup it's it's in and plant them directly into the potting soil cause the reason that they didn't make it in the little pot was they became root bound in the pot and it suffocated them to death if Daniel had tooken them out and done this they'd really started growing bigger and making alot more cucumbers for him as well too have a great day now out your way and I'll be waiting on the next video from ya guys here too
Wow, what a down pour. Poor Tina. All wet. Callie, poor old dog. Good to see that she's still with you all. Dogs don't like storms, some dogs. Like your gardening information. Next month, I can start some seeds. Still have snow.👍❤
Huston is so cute! It’s raining here in L.A. I was in the backyard recently and a lightening bolt hit close to our house. Was the weirdest feeling, hair standing up on my arms! 😲
My goodness, all that rain. Reminds me of here in Alabama. It just does not stop raining here. And you are so right about the farm chores which I'm going to go do now. Oh yes, im going to try the cucumber method this year.
That virus is causing problems here in Edmonton, Alberta Canada As of tomorrow March 16th, all schools and daycare facilities Province wide are closed. I have to say, I'm a little nervous. Stay safe where you are. And the rest of the US as well.
Awwww Cally what a sweet old girl.. My dogs 12 also, Sophie always hated storms too. Its hard seeing ur old faithful friend getting older. You and your family stay safe during all this craziness.
You should try aquaponics using Huston's fish tank! It's very easy and you can grow just about anything in an aquaponic system. I have had mine for many years now and will always have it for growing my vegs.! The system you are doing is also very good but you have to use chemicals where as with an aquaponics system you just use the fish water and it is great!
Suggestion... keep a large umbrella in the barn and even a slicker suit in there for these rainy times! The rain sounds so nice on the metal roof! Goats are so comical. Love watching the feeding times. ..stay dry!
Spring planting has NOT BEEN CANCELLED! lol .. getting the last of my peas in this week, rain or shine, people gotta eat. PSA for folks in the Tulsa area: The mulch site on 145th just North of Pine is still open, 7:30 AM- 5:00 PM, and you can stop by and load up as much as you can haul, free of charge - they'll even load you up with the front end loader, so it takes just a few minutes, and your gardens will thank you for it!
This is a really good video and hopefully you get your cars across the creek in time. We also enjoy last year’s garden tour. Until next time may God bless your days as He always does ours!
The suggestion for aeration is correct. Also the water needs to stay cool so you can add frozen bottles of water if it gets to hot. There are also various nutrients you can add to promote growth.
My donkey and my alpacas LOVE the pouring rain. They wont come in until its bedtime. If its not raining we take them to the river and they play play play
@@doghairdontcarelindaniel7531 My boys are talking about setting me up an Instagram account so I can easily share photos. Im of the generation that my I smart phone is smarter than me lol
I laughed out loud at the lil dog. I mean talk about getting it. There was no stopping those lil legs 😂 I think it was the first time Big Mac wasn't in the way of the gate 😂 poor puppy scared of the thunder. The struggle is real. I'm not crazy about storms but I have two dogs that are like Cali. ABSOLUTELY not doin the rain lol. Love your videos. Even in the rain and America stopping y'all still can see the humor. That's great. Y'all keep the vids coming.
Did you hear about San Antonio? For the first time in 100 years Fiesta has been postponed until November!!! That’s a life changing event for us. I’m so glad it wasn’t cancelled. Please send us some me rain if you can 😂
The alpacas are just trying to get a free washing of their fleece! Too bad the weather doesn't care about our farm chores. I'm trying the hydroponics in the quarts jars - the green onions are growing. Also took a hand- on class on growing oyster mushrooms. Experiments are fun.
The black storage containers with the yellow lids work great for Kratski because the sun can't get in and start algae, which will take up all the nutrients in the tub.
The issue with the bucket style of hydroponic gardening is the water loses oxygen and nutrients. Do a search on hydroponic gardening in PVC. It uses a circulating pump and a reservoir to keep the water useable.
I never run through the rain. So long as you're out there in it you will be getting wet. No point in risking a fall too. I used to though. As a kid it was kinda fun.
Hey there, Dutch keeps chattin up about you and your family doin the homesteading thing similar to him and I thought I'd come over to your channel and check it out...pretty Kool set-up you have for your animals and gardening.. Houston might just take over the filming and narrating your channel, pretty smart child you have! Great work your doing for your whole family, especially in times like this pandemic we're all having...take care and stay safe! I look forward to seeing more of your homesteading on here. Chow for now from Ontario Canada!!
Yeah I don’t know if the timeline is the same because I know your videos come out days afterwards sometimes but I drove through your neck of the woods yesterday and it was very nice and now I’m up north and it’s very cold and rainy.... I will tell you when everybody has to worry about the “sickness “when they tell the cops to stop doing their job and the truckers to stop driving then we’re all in trouble! LOL
We were in the 60's all week in Indiana too. Schools closed yesterday until April 6, and today our "dusting" if snow turned into 4". We're doing farm chores too. Watching your UA-cam channel will be the highlight of my day for the next few weeks. Lol. And planting peas in St. Patrick's Day. 👍
Great video, we woke up to am inch of snow in Iowa! Sich crazy weather. We have a Great Pyrenees, his name is Kano. We do not have any Goals or other animals for him to guard so he has a herd of rocks! He carries them around and is very gentle with them. He asks to go out and check on them. After having Labs for a while, it is easy to see just how odd Great Pyrenees are.. Houston seems full of energy you might have your hands full with him and Jacoby. God's blessings on you and your family.
We got the 80s and then a little rain here in Meeker but it was cold!! Today I was down in Stratford and saw lots of water standing in fields. Y’all must have gotten a lot more rain than we did!
Hey just a quick tip for early spring or late winter bass fishing I caught a bunch of bass on a white jig and some jerkbaits and even some bright colored crankbaits
My Pyrenees mix dog is the same way about thunder and fireworks. He isn't afraid of much but he hates loud noises. If he is in the house he will hide in the closet under and behind the clothes.
Just a thought,. Keep a few troughs under the barn hanging up on the wall for cases like heavy rain ect... The troughs wood be dry and you can avoid the icky weather.... . Enjoyimg your channel. God Bless 😀
I'm very interested in that patio system you mentioned. Living in an apartment makes it difficult to have a proper garden. 🙂 Having a doofy dog that has eaten plants in the past makes it difficult to do containers. I'm wanting to find a way to grow veggies though.
Awesome video. You guys please stay safe and well protected from the virus.Looks like the farm is growing as well as the family.May God in all glory bless you and your family in this crisis.👍👍👍👍👍

I love how y'all find the humour in the rain. Love watching these videos.
Bear is such a nice dog. All of their dogs are so good with people and the other animals. Awe poor Callie so scared was sad. She is a beauty.

Hi dutch
You are the best
Hello Dutch I like watching your vedios here and I just wanted to tell you that when you grow your cucumbers in the bucket like Daniel is talking about here after the roots get started out like they are there in the clip take them out of the little cup it's it's in and plant them directly into the potting soil cause the reason that they didn't make it in the little pot was they became root bound in the pot and it suffocated them to death if Daniel had tooken them out and done this they'd really started growing bigger and making alot more cucumbers for him as well too have a great day now out your way and I'll be waiting on the next video from ya guys here too
Poor Big Mac, I like him. He's beautiful, inside and out...
I can't imagine your meet-up will have less than 100 people. Is it still on?
Cant wait until we start having Thunderstorms here, rain and thunder are definitely some of my favorite sounds!
You guys stay dry and stay safe. Be careful out with the crazy people Daniel. Have a great week

Nice rain. We could use that in south Texas. Looking forward to gardening experiments. Stay safe on the highway.

Lol Huston makes me laugh. He’s smart as a whip!
Yes he is.

Yay for farm chores!! Wish I had some..specially garden
I miss thunderstorms. Can't wait to get rid of this snow and start planting.

I am going to try this cucumber experience this year ,,,, thanks Daniel and Houston !
hey Daniel another great video love your videos keep them can't wait for more.love y'all.
The black storage containers with the yellow lids work great for Kratski because the sun can't get in and start algae, which will take up all the nutrients in the tub.
