  • Si relives the worst whuppings he ever got from his parents and shares the story of why he'll never forget his mama's switch bush. John-David realizes he's missing $1,250, and the culprit is his 7-year-old son. Si gets ready to take a belt to John-David to teach him a little Parenting 101. He also recalls all the butts that got torn up when Phil caught 16-year-old Al and his buddies drinking beer. And the boys delve into Si's free-spirited nudist days, laughing at Si's drill sergeant, Godwin's smoooooth answer to a question about his favorite trophy, Martin's philosophy on child discipline, and whether it's true that "it hurts me worse than it hurts you."

🤣 My Dad was in the US Army for 22 years. He was a Drill Sgt. for 4 years in the early 80s (he never lost the inner Drill Sgt. mentality and livelihood.... I will say you never, NEVER would have lied to him! If you lied, especially to his face, he'd start with this facial twitch that meant you were in for it.) He didn't have to lift a finger or lay a hand on you.... Oh boy... Lol.

So she would send me to my room and get a belt, or if I was wearing one, when she sent me to my room I would swap to the one that didn't hurt because I knew she would use mine. As she spanked me I would put on a show as if she was killing me lol. I got away with for a long time. Now my dad it didn't matter what it was it was gonna hurt.. worst whoopin I ever got was with a water hose. That was from my grandfather and it was the closest thing he could grab.

My Mawmaw had a young peach tree. She would pick a switch off that thing and prune in front of us. She would leave a couple leaves on the end of it. She didn’t have to use it often because observing the switch prep was enough to keep us in check. I remember seeing it on the dashboard on trips. 😆 She may have used it once or twice and that switch would wrap perfectly around your legs. I thank my grandparents for loving me enough to switch my legs!! PS.... My daughter is 14 now. I wish I had never sent her to middle school and I wish I had never allowed her to create a UA-cam habit. I wish I had waited until she was much more mature to expose her to the digital world. She’s a good girl but she’s picked up some not so great attitudes from these influences.

Yes, on electronics, glad to see your comment.
I knew my former husband wanted to buy our son a playstation for his 5th birthday in 2001, I kept saying to him, "Please, Do Not buy him a playstation, he is to young, it will rot his brain".
Well, we had a Wonderful birthday party with about 30 guests including the parents, the last gift came out, it was a playstation.
I got up off of the couch, walked out of the room to our bedroom and cried.
Everyone knew the party was OVER, we didn't even cut the beautiful Batman cake, I did not come out to even say goodbye to anyone, the parents Knew I was severely against it.
That was the day our marriage went down the tubes, dad bought the playstation for himself, he and our son became bums.
It did rot his brain and screwed up his life, no ambition and most importantly the games brought demons into both of their lives.
We ended up divorced, and my son still has demons in him.
He is 25 and we no longer have a relationship 😢, he believes he came from carbon, the Creator is a fairytale in the sky.
They place spells on movies, tv, music albums, video games and the subjects of the video games before they are packaged.
John Todd, his videos on YT will help people to better understand about the spells they do in hollyweird, he came from a high up i l l u m a n a t i w i t c h family.

He would have to know the concept of money and what it’s real value is and what it means to people and what people have to do to get it. As a parent we taught my son from a young age the value of money and how it works as well as teaching him to be honest and respectful, he’s now 22 and will have his masters degree in less than two months and has never touched alcohol or drugs and would never consider stealing from anyone. It’s all about how you raise your children and the consistency and pride you put into their upbringing. I didn’t miss one parent teacher conference or school event or one single life event and as parents we made sure we built memories that will last a lifetime and still are any chance we get. To this day our child is our lives. I wouldn’t have it any different or change a thing. I have a great bond and relationship with my son and couldn’t be more proud. There’s no better joy in life than having a child. We never had to use physical means to discipline our child. Not once was he ever beaten or slapped not one finger ever laid on him . He may have had time outs or something like that but the proof is in the pudding. Love , attention and a good upbringing and solid foundation in life. He now teaches at the school where he’s getting his masters degree in mathematics. It pays for his tuition and living expenses. And he’s the most respectful person you’ll ever meet. I would assume a child who takes money and doesn’t understand what it is most likely had no idea they were doing anything wrong. That’s a great opportunity to explain the value of money and what it means and teach a valuable life lesson and no punishment needed unless it was done with the knowledge it was wrong. Then it’s up to the parents how they handle punishment. But it’s a proven fact that no violence or physical contact is ever needed. Thanks for sharing and love the podcast!

My kids stole $60 from my husband wallet last year. The older one did a double lie meaning he lied to his dad that he didn’t steal after he lied to his younger brother that he split half the money with him. Their privilege to weekly allowance was stripped since then. It has been a year that they both have been doing shores without allowance. My husband got his money worth at the end.

The love and unity of the Robertsons made me look into Christianity. I’m still trying to learn about Christianity but the day I excepted Jesus slowly but surely my Depression has gotten a lot less. I found the Holy Spirit and it’s something you can actually feel

Read Matthew Mark Luke and John. All those books tell the story of Jesus sacrifice for you and me. Oh what joy to know my price was paid and He yet still lives!
