I dont think this is a parody so much as a light hearted look at the genre and its spot on, plus i really like it much better than many of the new metal bands out there nowadays.

If it's a parody, it's GOOD, but Imho, there may be a "Freind Of Band" w/depression/anxiety. The est way to combat that shit is to laugh at it. Hehe yeah just got back from BOA14, Evil Scarecrow drawing a bigger crowd at 11am than the previous night's headliners was pretty awesome. Fully deserved too, one of my favourite bands of the whole weekend.
They played a small gig in Cambridge once at the Portland arms, best live band I've seen in a long time and great people who aren't above meeting their fans afterwards.... Doctor Hell pointed at me when he sung this....omg I could have died happy right then and had no regrets.
The Vic, sometime in 2007 maybe. Was Immense. Still to this day one of my most favorite gigs ever. \m/ Was way to wasted to remember the remainder of the night and the day, date and month. Whoops ...
seen this awesome band at the snooty fox in wakefield a few times and always fuckin awesome set they should be a big festival band see em live you wont forget it
I'm looking forward to seeing Evil Scarecrow in the Old Bell in May with supporting Lawnmower Deth it's going to be GREAT. Does anyone else think the singer looks a bit like Tom Warrior from Celtic Frost?

Getting big doesn't mean selling out. They still play at smaller venues and i've heard they still meet people after gigs. Can't expect a band to act exactly the same after a few years. Them being sellouts would indicate they only make money for music, which they clearly don't do
In what universe is that classed as "selling out"? having a show in festivals dedicated to rock/metal isn't selling out. Selling out would be singing a contract with a record label and then completely changing their sound and image to be more 'friendly' to the consumer market. Nickelback are a prime candidate for demonstrating a band "selling out"
Oh I didn't know this is a screamo song? Oh wait, it's not! That's not screamo vocals. This is what you call grim vocals. There is no need for clean vocals in this song or any of their songs. It sounds just right without it. If they did have clean vocals it would take away from the song.
