Looking forward to a Saturday in Paris again 😊❤🙏🏼
Thank you for this great video on my favourite Arrondissement where you have it all: class but not show-off class. Even though you made a wonderful job, I have the feeling there are million things we miss behind those closed doors. My wife Valérie and I had our Wedding reception in the Royal Monceau, rue Hoche between the Parc Monceau and the Arc de Triomphe and this was 100% class, that was 50 years ago.
Thanks! As always, a great distraction with morning coffee.
I used to go to St Alexander nievsky cathedral in rue daru when I was a child.
thankyou so much! just awesome.
Beauté élégance...
beautiful!!
Another really lovely tour, merci beaucoup!!
Glad you liked it, thanks for leaving a comment!
Hello Corey, thanks for taking us into the 8th. It was good to be back on the street with you, learning more and adding things to my Paris bucket list. Merci et bonne Journée!
Good❤️🥰💯
Another beautiful outting. 😄
Loved the tour so much Corey. First time for me viewing on big screen tv, totally awesome! Thank you for the delicious details.
I am enjoying this tour very much.
Hugely enjoyable tour. Lots of beautiful Parisian street scenes and fantastic architecture. Thanks.
Hello Corey. I really appreciate your videos.
Maybe I missed something, but you didn't mention, just around your walk :
- Hôtel Beaujon, rue du Faubourg St Honoré. An imposing XVIII century mansion, now a public animation centre.
- Same street, a dominican convent hidden behind a normal façade.
- rue d'Artois, the back of the PVH HQ, a nice mansion and garden used by restaurant APICIUS.
- the strange looking house of the embassy of Burkina Faso.
- and of course the Jacquemart André museum.
What a terrific episode! With a good share of wow's! I really appreciate the architecture you bring to us and even more, when you explore those gorgeous churches.
Love that, thanks a lot for the comment!
Wonderful walking tour! Loved every bit. The quiet churches amaze me. I’ve been watching your videos for a short time as preparation for a Christmas 2023 visit and very much appreciate every artistic, historical, and architectural detail you share. As a former art teacher, you have re-awakened my artist eye. Made a weekend trip to Cincinnati OH by way of a cafe in downtown Louisville KY, and truly appreciated the statuary and building details in a new, wide-eyed way. So grateful!
That’s my favorite kind of comment, thank you! We all need reminders from time to time of how much beauty is around us. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Hi Corey,
The PVH courtyard is a major conglomerate fashion company that owns Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. That’s the Paris headquarters. Beautiful!
And G Sarti is an art & antiques gallery.
Oh thank you! That explains how they can afford that building. 😊
@@afrenchfryeinparis absolutely 👍🏻.
How are things in the streets of Paris these days. I’ve been paying close attention to France 24, RFI, YTBers etc for updates. We’re arriving April 22nd, can’t wait. Frankly the protests don’t bother me at all. It’s just the garage 👃
@@Daunou777 Hi, yes certain neighborhoods have been looking a bit rough lately, but I heard the strike is now “on pause” so we’ll see. None of the streets I spend my time on have been dangerous in any way. Thanks for the positive comments today, I appreciate it!
@@afrenchfryeinparis de rein 😘
It's such an interesting tour... like always thankyou Corey I absolutely enjoyed it... can't wait for the next tour...
Hello Corey, Wonderful virtual tour of your beautiful city. I have missed your live streams but its always a pleasure to catch up later. thank you for this video.
Excellent, thanks a lot!
Amazing video....really love walking with you
Thank you for the lovely and unexpected tour!
Love your videos..i hope you rich much, much more subscribers...so you NEVER stop uploading your excellent, SUPERB videos ❤️
Thanks that’s appreciate! 👍
Being honest ... So sorry about the typo I meant to say "reach" more subscribers.. my sister is going to Paris from December 12th to January 17th with my cousin. To tell you the truth I have never been in Paris during winter nor I desire to. However, I gave this trip as a present to my sister. What will be your advice for a first-time visitor? I know everyone focus on the most important landmarks. However when I have traveled with my husband we go to places there a lot of people don't go unless they are very knowledgeable as you. We have family in Paris and leaves in the 16th arrondissement. Very beautiful place, my aunt has lived there for 60 years.
Thanks!Love your videos, I was overdue to send you a few bucks. I hope to engage you for a tour on my next visit to Paris. All the best from DC!
That's amazing, thanks so much!
Great episode Corey. Walked by the Bristol many times. Felt too poor walk in! Been in the Russian Orthodox Church and vaguely remember lots of caviar and vodka in the Petrograd one night.
Thanks Ken! So glad you were able to see the inside of that church, it's lovely. There's also a rather private crypt underneath that's tricky to get into and I hope to one day. That caviar and vodka sounds about right, it seems that's one of the best ways to enjoy that restaurant. Thanks for the comment!
Bonjour 🌞
I've never seen clocks on cathedrals before. And they're not synchronized !
Hope I’m logged in
Do you do tours in person? We are visiting in April 23 to 28 2023
Yes please check the description of the video for requesting a walking tour. Would be happy to show you around!
Nice scenes of the 8th ... but the guy's non-stop chatter was just soooooo irritating; then, in the middle of it he has the gaul (no pun intended) to ask for money??? Seriously?
Thanks!
Thanks!
