I really like their expression of the music. Musicality is the key factor in dancing, combined with brilliant technique, and a driving eager attitude. Simultaneously with this samba another cannel has had the disastrous samba of Troels and Ina Presentation in the Majestic Championship. I agree with English Judge and former World Champion Anne Gleave when she gave Kirill and Valeria No. 1 in London Ball in samba (and in Paso). Kirill is unique in samba, and so is Valeria. And God, they are entertaining.
Superstars used to be a little more than straight up competition routines. Zero respect and consideration for the audience and their position as top professional dancers. This goes for all others that did the same. Disgusted
The best Super Star shows in history ? Bryan and Carmen Memory rumba 2002. A masterpiece. Huge applause and recalled by the audience. Just plain simple basic. Timothy and Joanne waltz 2007. Enormous applause and recalled by the audience. Just plain basic. A masterpiece.
@@pixelcorn4529 Well, but she is right! WSSDF videos at the start of this century were the reason I got interested in dancing in the first place. Those were special shows with creatively interpreted/modified competition routines, theatrical elements, more interesting costumes, etc...
This is the age of social media. The artistry and creativity are non-existent nowadays. They're more interested in getting followers and likes on social media than they are in creating a masterpiece (speaking about dancesport in general not this couple specifically). Why are these routines only two minutes long? It's a shame what this industry has turned into. I miss the days of Bryan and Carmen, Slavik and Karina, etc. It's just not the same now.
For me Samba is their best dance. I like the music here and the interpretation is very good. technically excellent except bacchacadas looked a bit lame. I would still like to see more interaction between them throughout the dance though to add even greater nuance and depth to the performance.
Excellent!

@helge if we are talking about Rumba, my two favorites are Alan and Serena (1999) and Slavik and Karina (2002)
