I like both series. I'll say that the highs of TLOK are the best between both series but ATLA is consistently good to great throughout and never reaches the same lows that TLOK does. The bending and action in TLOK is much better which is naturally since the series is set 70 years in the future but the character development and interactions are unrivaled in ATLA. Overall ATLA for me is a 10 while TLOK is an 8.5. Both great and worth watching.
My opinion has always been: ATLA is probably the closest to perfect I've seen a fictional piece of media get. Korra is great, but it has the problem of getting compared to something near-perfect. Without ATLA to compare it to, I feel like everyone would pretty universally love LoK. Also, every time I re-watch, Korra book 2 always has some low points.
I like korra it is dumb in some ares, but i still like it, but i do believe aang went through a lot of arcs more than korra they just get resolved at the end of the episode his firebending, earthbending, losing his people then the whole appa arc on that, failing when people needed him and more
There is no vs here, both series are great and tell their own story in their own way. Both are about different eras with two different avatars and should t do things the exact same way.
I think Korra aged better, and has a better protagonist, but thats because the target audience of korra just is higher and it does more interesting stuff there, and avatar the last airbender while being surprising dark, is still very family friendly while korra is yeah older audience and its missing too but the adults are really a good focus, and i just think korra is morerelatable and interesting than aang. like aang is a good character, and subcersive in his own right, but he kind of is while working, its clear Zuko is the fan favourite, or Sokka, which makes seense that he as while still interesting , is less expressive of a lot of that as opposed to them. Ok he is. . And azula plays even more in that yeah her playing and mirroring Zuko. Hell i love that Aang while you cant blame him not being the great father, or neglecting a bit due the workaholic while understandable , does actually humanize him, thank god. And yes it does make him feel more human. Its not ruining it, its rioning him, it shows he is great and that but still a person with faults. I think that Korra has a messier but more interesting conflicts, and the adult chareacters are great, i love tenzins and Lins Arcs. Without demishing Korra as she has her own, and kinda pushes Tenzin to adress that. And Lin. Its actually interesting that Korra made mistakes but was also the catalyst for change for better and motivate people there. Like Aang couldnt do that on his own and neither Korra. And it makes Korra pretty good as Avatar, and its probably realistic that she has misses and that but still is moving and pushing for the changes , even if she is outpoliticed. Thats great. And Korra grows into it too. And her attitude is pretty good to never give up and confront head on. Thats a great point to start from. Korras was pretty hard always punching up. And at the end of the day Avatar was for a more family friendly audience less messy than korra, why Korra has way more impossible challenges, she does manage, somehow. And PTSD and trauma is more compelling than Aangs still trauma but that never was that grave as Korras. Not to say its not bad for him, just he is dealing really well for a kid even early. Ok both are good but i think due the targeted age groups, yeah korra is probably easier to get into for adults, maybe too due the aduld cast having conflicts and growing too and , way less kidfriendly. Its not gory in any way but it goes hard at times. Wher avatar was more implied dark in topics, which works, but korra went harder. And that despite epic moments as Katara pretty much to ruthlessy murder that dude before he tells her luckily a thing that reminds her her mom didnt want to go that low on a pathetic coward. Still korra goes further.
ATLA is far superior to Korra, that’s just my honest opinion. I think Korra was a really dumb show and dumped on the legacy of ATLA. Korra fans are gonna call me a “blind hater”, but that’s my honest opinion.
I kind of agree. Korra is nowhere near as good as ATLA IMO. Even the best season of Korra (3) is worst than any of the ATLA ones. Korra did not carry the same subtle depth and complexity, and does not offer the same wisdom or insight. Oftentimes LOK felt a bit boring and corny yet I never felt that way with ATLA
Me who just likes both of them i dont care if one is better than the other i just wacth them to see what and how did for the world, Its only been 6 years since i didnt wacth those 2 series, but rewacthing them feels nostalgic I dont care about opinions, i care about memories i have made through this journey, just like Aang and Korra
Love The Last Airbender, and never gave Korra a chance, but this video and recent things I've been seeing about it over the years makes me wanna try it out. Good video, brotha

keep these coming king, this was one of your best easily
I like Last Airbender more but I dont hate Korra at all
I'll take it!
I ultimately liked korra, but I didn’t love the cast. Whereas the last air bender did have its flaws, but I loved a majority of its characters.
That's completely fair
W detective
Hehe

I like this point. That made sense to me!
Yooooo nice video!
Legend!

this was incredible detective!
u hit all the points on the antagonists, Azusa was fire and all of Korras was hard
You feel what I'm saying, they was really cold like that
Very good and balanced breakdown, well done detective
Thank you kindly!
I say it like this: Thematically, Last Airbender is the better show. I just enjoy Legend of Korra more.
ur arguments were so compelling and well organized! based take im glad i let u cook
appreciate getting a fair chance!

Nah you can think what you like, I made my case and I'm content with that

Thank you! And I think it deserves a fair chance. If you aren't feeling it then you aren't feeling it!
