I've had this guitar for over a year and still can't put it down. Perfection in every way. No guitar under 5K can compare.
what action is ideal for this/can get away with?
Great vid Ryan....I can show mates the vid to show them how it really sounds!! Thank you for all of your help by the way. I ended up getting the HRD....👍
Thanks for letting us use the guitar Jeremy! It's such a great guitar, i'm really excited for you to get it in your hands soon. Glad i could help with the amp mate. Killer set up if you ask me!
Love this demo. Nice playing. Great sounds
I would only have one improvement to this guitar. I would have it wired with a volume for each pickup, master tone, and a push/pull control on the master tone to knock the pickups out of phase.
Wouldn’t be mad at them binding the F-holes, like their thin lines 😉
The unfortunate part about the Romeo that you have which is I believe the LA model is that it’s just a laminate all the way around not to say it’s a bad guitar at all. I have the Romeo SC. It is the model that actually has a solid spruce top and I can honestly tell you there is a huge difference in Sound. I have not changed the pick ups yet. I am using the Seymour Duncan stack in the neck and I think it’s a Seth lover that they had made for the bridge based on the measurements but either way split or together it is an amazing guitar and certainly not just a jazz box that solid spruce top really makes all the difference I bought a PRS Vella and change the pick up surround in the same combination with a Seth lover and a stack in the neck and honestly turned it into a mahogany jazz box as well as a fantastic blues and rock guitar both of them great guitars and I am certainly thankful I wish Eastman would make more of the Romeo SC models are allow you to custom order. Had I known what I was getting used for $1500 I would have bought two of them. I am an ES 335 player and have just also ordered my first Eastman T486. Can’t wait to get it change the pick ups and wiring and see if it’s really what I’m looking for once I put the lust for tone Lucille pick ups in it. Truly love these guitars can’t get enough keep the demo coming. Thank you again great demo truly, though check out the Romeo SC model for yourself I think you’ll like it. 3:04
This is not the LA. This is the original Romeo Goldburst. I believe it was the first ‘Romeo’ Eastman put out. This is my actual guitar being demonstrated. Solid Spruce top and Lollar Imperial humbuckers. The LA is the blue one. Go to Eastman and look at the specs….
You are correct I actually just ordered one just like yours as well as having the Romeo SC I have the SC did come out in 2019 the model you had or have wasn’t updated version of that model and it does have the spruce top actually just ordered one for 1800 bucks on sale Fantastic guitar and not to mention I saved about $650. Thank you for the advice checked into that now I have two wonderful, jazz machines and love them both. It also has the solid mahogany back sides versus laminate mahogany, back sides, which if you look at the N AM, 2019 video it will show you the Romeo SC That I’m talking about with the Seymour Duncan pick ups. I am not a Seymour Duncan fan and certainly like the Lawlers better but the way that they set that stack up in the neck it certainly gives the guitar great sound and stuff music does a wonderful demo of the Romeo, SC that I’m talking about but thank you again for your feedback and giving me the advice on that particular guitar being totally blind I could not see exactly what you were playing so it wasn’t that I didn’t know it was that I couldn’t see, and because there’s not a vivid description to give me that clear information most of the videos do not give you a total verbal overview and that was where I ran into the air. Thank you for the advice. Glad I got it and certainly I’m happy and waiting to see the new guitar. Thanks.
