Maria, what a beautiful contribution to our hobby. So many of us enjoy keeping notes about our fragrances. It actually appeases me when I can't afford to make any new purchases. I bought five, one for each of my fragrance categories. I didn't think one would have enough pages.

How long did u have did u have to macerate? My Casablanca a month and half macerating is pure chemical smell unusable joma shop said it’s fine? It’s not fine but I want it to be like sweet apple that is supposed to be

It’s probably been a month or so. I learned online to shake the bottle, turn it upside down and spray until it stops spraying. I’ve done it for a few bottles so far and I really think it helps!! Hope it works for you! I love Casablanca, hope yours will turn out perfect!!🥰
Ive given up on middle eastern perfumes because there’s always a floral or woody touch I can’t get to terms with. I’ve had my Pistachio for 2,5 months and it’s still a white floral…… unfortunately.
Disaster! My Casablanca was amazing from the very beginning,didn't have to macerate at all. I've given mom a bottle as a present, opened at once - also was delicious apple pie @@julie-bn8mv

The journals are beautiful!!!! Congratulations! Personally, I will be taking mine to Office Depot to get the paperback (softcover) on a spiral binding, and then I would laminate the covers. That way I can lay it completely flat.

I absolutely love Mohra silky roses!! It’s such a gentle fragrance. I’ve also been loving Hayaati Florence by lattafa! This one is a candied grapefruit that smells so good. Very lady like but also sweet and holds up well in hot weather.

Great Idea Maria! I log all my perfumes on a google doc alphabetically by house. This is so I can quickly check what I have when i am out and about and tempted. I love this idea of creating notes about the experience of the perfume. I was never sure how to go about it, but this is fantastic!

I think it's fantastic you've made a journal. That is a huge undertaking and will be helpful to so many. I already have a small journal that is just lined paper as I like to write a lot of my own notes and musings on where a fragrance takes me. I think this will be so helpful especially for beginners, just learning to record their impressions. Perfume sure is a wonderful hobby and so much fun. By the way, did I mention a rushed out and bought a carousel after seeing your set up and boy has it made my organizing so much better and more beautiful as well. Thank you! Julia

I'm on the lookout for some of these perfumes as well, I currently do enjoy Montaigne Coco and the local, greek renditions of bitter peach and yum pistachio (I love them both!!), but I'm also gravitating towards "blue", "male" perfumes, when the temperatures rise.

I just purchased Chants Tenderina. I love it so much. I live in central Texas and it’s so hot and humid here. I also have Bade Al oud Sublime. I’ve let it macerate 3 months. At first all I got was a strong woody note at dry down. I wore it to bed last night and in the morning I thought, wow…I smell good. It has changed a lot. I get the sweet apple but still the woody note. I think it will be amazing to wear in the fall here.
We’ve barely been over 69f yet this summer!! 🤣

I use Fragrantica to track my collection, and it’s helped me quite a bit to keep me from not buying too much of one DNA. A written journal is more personal.
I love Sublime. 🍎 Affection is really nice on me too. For my Bitter Peach dupe, I have Lattafa Sutoor. One of my coworkers loved it so much that she bought her own bottle after smelling it on me.

Yes it may be. It’s another sweet juicy rose with fruit. I love it but if you have a couple in your collection that fit that description and it certainly wouldn’t be a need 😀

The journals are genius. I keep mine in a spreadsheet mostly so I don't double purchase things, but I love all the detail you can put in your journals. I've been wearing the heck out of Haya Soleil by Emper. It's a recent find of mine and I absolutely love it! Also Capitol: The Dome Collection by Hamidi. I just got Turquoise Stone by Surrati and I can see myself wearing this like crazy as well. I also find myself gravitating to Mousuf Wardi by Ard Al Zaafran as well as Haya by Lattafa. My "go to" scent if I can't decide is always Soft by Al Rehab. I carry the oil in my purse and it always feels like a soft hug when I wear it.
