2:46:00 Flying Capac projectiles over a scene where plastic sheets pile up like the famous scene from I Love Lucy... That's why I watch this series, even though I speed it up a bit because 4 hour VODs would otherwise dominate my waking hours.
Suggestion for the new arm thing... on the two arc furnaces, have them output to one of the chutes that will hold the item there; and signal when it has an object. The arm goes and plucks it and delivers it to a single chute to give it back to outside the room. Or all of the furnaces do this to a powered discharge chute (or whatever it's called). The arc furnaces ought to process ores slowly enough that it doesn't become a backlog and it gives the arm something to do.
It's because there is just enough of a pause between the two words that it's clear they are two separate words being triggered. It's "Hunger. Critical." Not "Hunger critical"
1:53:47 if you had put the junction 1 block higher, you could make the left furance output into the bottom of it, and the right furnace just go up one more and go into the side.. basically the same as your original plan, but just not going into the floor.
I'd build the new main entrance air lock across from your new smelting room. Then a wide corridor leads from the gas storage room deep into the mountain, and everything else connects off it, including more greenhouses.
What you could do.. Is make a chute network that goes from the furance room to the production room, so you don't need to carry multiple stacks of ingots from 1 room to the other.
For base lights, I tend to have 1 light that is always on per room, and then larger rooms with more lights get sensors for the rest of that room's lights.
The really funny part about the high Gold content steel is that I know in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY in their Arms and Armour collection, there are patter welded and Damascus bladed weapons. Made for Royalty and such, the would have had to have been purely ornamental and I don't think they are that pretty but lol yes they are very bad products. I know you can see them or you used to be able to on their website too.
Good day Splitsie, @26 minutes, you do remember that an ac cools and heats. If the input is colder then the setting, ac tries to heat, removing the heat to the waste.
if you put one way valves on the passive vents make sure you put them on both the pull and push vents so that niether can push atmosphere into another room
That furnace room will forever remain 99% finished. It might not be visible, but we'll all know that one tile remains without wall ;-) Couldn't you use a LARrE to collect ingots that are ready and move them to a singular output chute? That would be interesting and functional.
Looking back, it is interesting to me that you are basically about to catch up to where I am on my longest game with a trade focus on Europa. For these longer playthroughs it is interesting to me all the struggles it took to get to the point you get and look back at what you would do different. So far I'm glad to see how it has gone from basically nearly 0 trader focus and the struggle you had to get your first set of seeds to essentially now a furnace room for processing your ores and ingots. What's something you would try to do on your next playthrough? Like would you actually attempt to do something like make sure your hygiene never hits red throughout the whole playthrough, as minor as it is, just to see if it would push you to make a habitable, stable space + shower earlier? You know those kind of things.
I think I'd mostly focus on doing a better job at staying alive and giving myself a larger living space sooner. Having most of my base in vacuum most of the time is just so quiet and unpleasant :P
I think the issue with your trader landing and going back to the beginning of the runway is I think you need to have a second runway threshold block at the end of the runway as well as the front? I think that is why it doubles back.
Speaking of games you said you have no interest in playing, I think it prudent to inform you that Vintage Story has a 'homo sapiens' mode, with no strangeness, just you, nature, and many, MANY possibilities. I was somewhat familiar from the 'tech tree' of recipes back when it was TerraFirmaCraft. Even without the Rust (or whatever it's called), you'll not run out of things to do for a long while.
Better keep capac outside your base now splitsie. Or at least put a lock on the furnace room. The furnace room reads "Hooooot" Capac will also read "wiiiings" I believe you know what happens next.
Finally managed to watch the bit I missed - just wondering something; you have the Venus Atmosphere fed Furnace for low temp ingots, and the very hot gas tank that's at temperature for stellite - but how are you going to get the temperatures that are between the two (or lower than Venus atmos) for the other alloys? I suggested putting a Larry in the furnace room for some movement - could you add some chutes so it takes something out of one end and puts it in the other? Repeating, on and on, endlessly - like some Divine Splitsie punishment for the poor Larry arm...
Since I'm not off-gassing all my ores/ingots before processing, it's usually quite easy to achieve lower temperatures just by leaving the waste gas in them. I suppose at some point though I'll need to have the ability to pipe in some ready cooled gas to drop the furnace temps when required.
For the hot house, would it make sense to have your expansion valve go into a tank? That way instead of throwing away the gas you're just storing it in a place that can take a higher pressure?
I had to take a moment to proccess what you where doing with the purple air line as for my eropua base the purple line was hot gas from the furnace being used to heat the base
While looking at a spare helmet on the floor "Do I have a spare helmet? No? Poop!"
i waited to see this myself to get the context, not that i found the actual part of the video, i found that comment better

If you want to know which frame to open up, paint it something other than gray. Then cover the outside with the wall. The x-ray specs work too...

I appreciate the hoot room
The suit lady reminds me of those buttons on the floor you get for dogs to "communicate".

@Splitsie “It is a big pill, but it has a score line, which means you can crush it, I guess.”
It isn’t a pill.
It’s a suppository .

That sounds like a good approach in general :)

Now all we need is a swimming pool full of vindaloo and a giant beer.
Oh and a Trex called Pete.
Don't forget the pain in the ass hologram.
Press this timestamp 29:45 to hear Splitsie turn into Charlie Sheen.
Also blast from the past...that was 13 years ago...damn.

The RBLF feels sorry for all the patients the Splitsie gave up on because they didn’t get better in 30 seconds.
😂😂😂😂😂

@@Flipsie You had your chat to keep you sane. The silence is quite unsettling for sure.
Love the red dwarf quote
Would be nice to get a base tour when you get closer to a finished base.

I might have to give that a look when I next want to scratch my solo survival itch

I noticed the pipe was broken 1:18:43. When the vent was hooked up i thought that's not going to work very well.

I think , at this point, it would be wise to invest in a composter-thingy.
At least the crowd strike problems didn’t stop splitse from uploading
Oddly enough I haven't noticed any issues on the stuff that I normally use :P
@@Flipsiewell that’s good to hear as the hole world falls apart we can still watch splitse play some stationneers

should have used "Spicy" on the wall.
I suppose it wouldn’t help to point out that the outside of your base is a giant brick?
So what you're saying is that her full name is Charley Clarkson
...Who was it two videos ago that pointed out that the CO2 in the greenhouse was looking kind of low?
It's been brought up a few times in chat, but I wrongly thought I had just a little more time to allow me to focus on the build at hand 😜
how long before Splitsie's plants die due to 1 uninsulated pipe?
May I suggest Beeeern instead of hooooot?
Or Crispysizzle.

What’s more annoying? Theme to plate up or Mah na mah na ?
Where's there holographic Capac H
