Honestly when doing deliveries and walking up to a random house I feel comfortable with all the cameras home owners have, you can take a good look! I’m trying trying to deliver, not trying to get shot at!
Re shooting of young citizen who had merely mistaken a residential address: Unless an unrecognized person entered/"invaded" the house & was shot inside (which should have been preceded by warning to vacate, esp since no B&E occurred), charges should have already been pressed against the shooter!!!! Without posted "No Trespassing" signs, they weren't even trespassing, though trespassing is also not legal grounds for violent (esp lethal) "self defense" actions. This case MUST be used as a "teaching moment", and the shooter indicted (whether or not a jury, not judge, opts for leniency if they believe exceptional circumstances warrant that). Fear is not grounds for murder, people must comply with laws defining what can reasonably be considered imminently threatening to life & limb ('clear and present danger") as applies to individuals' rights to defend themselves & with what force. Property should never be defended with lethal force, since law enforcement can pursue criminals that escape. I believe public outrage is to be expected otherwise, as is appropriate! Will you please help us viewers understand our rights, in each state (since your audience travels, and, since most will be similar, pointing out extreme laws may save lives of some viewers who might otherwise accidentally "threaten" someone ... plus updating knowledge could keep some of your viewers out of the news, courts, and jail for accidentally over-stepping their rights to self defense)? Please? Thank you.

Stand your ground law? Maybe the homeowner felt his life was somehow threatened. The shooter wasn’t arrested so maybe the police know something the public doesn’t.
I’m not sure if you are dense stand your ground means the person poses a threat. Ringing a doorbell isn’t threatening nor did he pose as eminent danger. Re shooting of young citizen who had merely mistaken a residential address:
Unless an unrecognized person entered/"invaded" the house & was shot inside (which should have been preceded by warning to vacate, esp since no B&E occurred), charges should have already been pressed against the shooter!!!!
