I just want to thank you for this great video you made.helped me with repairing the portal sliter assembly.the spring loader had broken off while cleaning it earlier.managed to restore it using a small stainless steel screw as sourcing spare is not easy here in my place (india). Working great and your video guided me to pay attention to the rubber gasket on the machine which needed to be cleaned . After 5years of not in use I have restored it .had my shot of espresso today.Cheers .Love from India ❤
Fabulous video! Very detailed. Got more information than I needed. Did not even know the handle tip could be removed in order to better clean the handle. Also I appreciate the detailed explanation of why and when things go wrong. Would have loved to see how clean the pieces came out with that cleaner... did mine with hot water and toothbrush and got a pretty good result.
After one week of failed tentative to reassembling the portafilter of my coffee machine LA PAVONI finally I was able to complete this operation. Thanks a lot for your great video.
Great video. I disassembled the portafilter on my Magic Cappuccino machine years ago to make it a non-pressurized portafilter but I needed to get it all back together as I’m getting rid of the machine and figured I’d put it back the way it was when I got it. Thanks for this excellent video that covered more than I needed but did have the instructions that I did need!
Bravissimo, tutorial molto ben fatto. avevo rotto la molla piu piccola e ho dovuto rifarla ricavandola da una penna biro. grazie mille. Very good, very well done tutorial. I had broken the smaller spring and had to redo it by obtaining it from a ballpoint pen. thank you so much.
Thanks for this very good video! Do you happen to know if it is possible to adjust the pressure on these machines? I got myself a naked portafilter, and I can level and tamp what i want, but the water just runs through in a couple of seconds, resulting i a very crema missing and watery cup of espresso 😞
Great vid, helped troubleshoot my problem of a jammed portafilter (explosive to unlock!) - was caused by small spring falling out of position. Easy fix 👍🏻🙏🏻
@@joaquinalonso4459 See the small spring position at 3:46 (just under his forefinger)- mine had become detached. But also you need to make sure you put it back on the right way around, one way kinda hugs the plastic, the other way around/upside down(?) does also fit but slips off more easily under pressure.
Hello, Can i use a Vinegar solution based to clean the Portafilter ? For the boiler and the internal mechanisms i've heard that citric acid can be used. Do you know if this is safe versus the descale solution ? Thanks for the great video, been thinking on buying a new coffee machine but lately i wanted to give my saeco poemia another go
Great video!! I live in Southern California, and even purchasing my Saeco Poemia was difficult, since most people have turned into Keurig type machines. To me real espresso is the only way to buy coffee. My question is this: where can I find parts por my portafilter, for the boiler, etc? even grease to lubricate my machine, or descaler to clean it, is almost impossible to find.
You just add in the boiler some lemon salt to clean it. You won't need any other expensive solutions. Stir it in a full boiler and drain it as you would make coffees. Afterwards, do the same with clean water to evacuate any odors. That's it. For parts try on Amazon Europe maybe.
Hello, very good your explanation, I have the same machine but the three indicator lights do not work, however the machine works well, how should I change the lights? Thank you.
You need to open the top cover of the coffee machine to access the lights. If you do not know how to disassemble the machine. Search in Google - images- search - Saeco poemia parts diagram
I've a problem with the top drak grey plastic cap, the one surrounded by the red gasket. After 1-2 years the plastic degrades, it gets black, grainy and then disintegrates. Is there a way to avoid this?
The bolts are made of stainless steel but the body of the portafilter is aluminum. You can use penetrating fluid and try to move the bolts to the left and right to unscrew.

Fun fuct: I'm Italian so we're supposed to produce this stuff, and this is the BEST video I've seen about Poemia portafiltro.

Milen, what is the best espresso/latte coffee machine in your opinion?
Thanks for the videó!
what function of this little spring? i lost it then repair holder and make coffee without it now...what i am missing?
The spring maintains pressure to produce crema even if the grounds aren't ideal.
