  • This Bible study devotional covers Psalm 90. In this passage, the psalmist wonders if Israel can endure God’s punishment any longer.
As always, we are committed to showing you how to see the good news of the Gospel in every passage of Scripture. In Psalm 90 we see that the only escape from God is God himself, which is why God mercifully became human in Jesus.

I think the suffering and judgement alluded to in this psalm relates to the wilderness experience rather than the exile period, since the psalmist is no other than moses, who never got to enter the holy land.

    ‭1 Peter 2:9-12 LSB‬
[9] But you are a chosen family, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; [10] for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. [11] Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul, [12] by keeping your conduct excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good works, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Kind of off topic, but the buttons on your jacket make out a cross.

Where in scripture is your statement of Moses/psalmist being in exile for 70 years?

@curtis-thebicentennialist1776, the scripture reference there is Psalm 90:9-11. Please visit our website at SpokenGospel.com to find all Biblical references for the text of each devotional. Thanks for reaching out!

@@SpokenGospel This scripture is the psalmist (Moses) describing our life expectancy, not the length of an exile period. Appreciate the effort, but study and ask for discernment so that we don't mislead.
