Man, Brilliant job! I am a slightly intermidiate drummer, but I cant imagine playing this .. the indepence would be just too much for me at this tempo, how did you build up such an independce? Crazy!
Tomáš Lauterkranz Thanks, glad you like! I'm not really sure how to answer your question. But for me, the most challenging part of this song isn't independance. It is the stamina and dynamics (especially on the hihat). I think things like independance, stamina, speed come from practice and technique. Dynamics comes from having a passion for the details of the music you are playing. Thanks again! :)
Yea, stamina is kind of tricky, espicailly on hi hat, but i am still wondering about the independence, I play almost every day, on my own drum kit, practising cover, rudiments, everything .. i just cant get the over all indepence going... I can kind of do with with 3 limbs at a time .. not all four :D
Tomáš Lauterkranz Yeah I hear ya. Play it slow and play the limb that gives you the most problems with just one other limb and learn what it feels like to play those two together. You will start to understand how the problem limb fits in to everything. I'm not an expert or a drum teacher at all, but that is my approach when I have problems with things like coordination and independance.
Well, i am trying so hard man! :D with the exact technique you said. I can play a song with correctly with both hands and bass drum or two hands and hi hat, but the legs just dont wanna work together man. And when i am practising, i can sometimes make the legs work together, but when I fnially do, i focus so much, that i cant get my hand work correclty and on time :D a loot of missed timings :D
If i had one criticism , it would be your left had is so cack handed that you are hitting way off centre most of the time and doing some weird kinda "digging" motion , thats not to say you aren't a good drummer you clearly are , just one drummer to another i would try and fix that and your snare will sound a lot more consistent , at the moment you are kinda , centre , edge , edge , edge, centre on the fill , centre , edge , edge, centre , edge , just all over the drum , its gonna be a tough habit to break probably but it`ll be worth it when you do for sure . Great job though mate ( and great song choice !)

And it is not even complicated stuff, even doing the fourth notes on hi hat gives me a challenge while playing a song
