@@AVAstronomy if I'm shooting with a lens, I take darks and flats (tablet on whitescreen in front of the lens) and I find sequator to be the best in light pollution control as well as about 5-10 times faster than DSS...
Hope you get your Star Adventurer back up a working, Aaron. I’d also recommend Sequator for landscape astro stuff (and it’s free!); it does a remarkable job of lining up both foregrounds and the sky, is simple to use, and you can even add flats and darks if you want. Hope you had a great break.
Sometimes as you alluded too, this is the best and most fun kind. I enjoy watching you go back to basics. I found it not so fun outside with all the wires and complicated setup. I spent half of many nights troubleshooting some stupid problem with no images to show for it.
As always I thoroughly enjoyed this, particularly some of the techniques I have used over the last 18 month. I have the archsinh curves and use them extensively . Once again, thanks for sharing 👍
I've never seen this method of subtracting light pollution. Will have to give this a try. Do you have any other videos that shows that process in more detail?
Very Helpful video For me! Nice Shot AV, by the Way I remember your Photo of Rho Ophuichi Nebula, 2 years Ago! You took it from the Same Spot right? Clear skies
That’s right! I sure did. Was hoping to get another shot at it or the blue horse nebula but it just wasn’t in the cards. Still had fun imaging with the simple setup. Clear skies to you too bud!
nice one!
try sequator for foreground work ;)
Thank you! Will definitely take a look at sequator.

Thanks Paul, yeah I’ll be sending it to sky watcher soon. I’ll definitely look into sequator. Sounds perfect for the widefield landscap/Astro.

Great video! Thanks for sharing. There are not enough astro vloggers out there in my opinion!
Thank you!

Yes, I do. Can’t remember off hand, but I know have at least another video or two using this technique. Works pretty well for me.
