That's so awesome, good to know that they can have such laughs. And real and vulnerable compassion for each other. It's so important to share that you don't have to party in life to have a good life. I just celebrated 8 years off drugs and alcohol in February. 💙💜

They didn't mention Alcoholics Anonymous. A person can be in recovery without going to AA.
@@BeeGirlz every 12 step group is based on anonymity. His father gave him his 12 step recovery Chip five year on national TV.
also they have chips from a lot more groups then only AA FYI
@@MsTeck883 It's something both have talked about publically and already decided not to keep a secret. I did think it was a bit odd at first to choose a talk show to give it to him, but John Owen looked like he loved it so I think he and his dad talk about it enough that his dad knew he would like that.

Yes,very sweet--but knowing AA, it really is cringe the way he outed JO on national television. (The second A stands for ANONYMOUS) Kinda gave me the ick.
@Trinfinity they didn't mention Alcoholics Anonymous at all. A person can be in recovery without going to AA. I gave my uncle a 1 year chip (or medallion) and he didn't go to AA.

Rob Lowe does seem like a bit of an exhibitionist, like he does things to draw attention to himself - exactly what his son makes fun of him for. But John Owen still seemed to find it touching anyway.
