The "puppy-dog" eyes are not the problem - they've given the Acro forward-facing eyes like a tyrannosaurid (giving it a "T. rex glare") when the eyes should be facing more to the sides. You can see the contrast when it's fighting the Giganotosaurus (11:07) which has correctly positioned eyes for a carcharodontosaurid. The Acro is still a great looking dinosaur though.
I've noticed that too. They seemed to have taken the Acro in a bizarre bull-like direction, by having it be ridiculously bulky and ramming its opponents instead of just biting them.

@Brandein Guerrero its replay value is pretty low without some serious mods. Jurassic mode is a chore. These new dinos are completely uninteresting. Universal dropped the ball on this game. So much untapped potential.
On the Acro "sail", it is believed that the raised spine would be covered in fat, so it would look more like a hump on it's back than a sail, so this Acrocanthosaurus is a lot more accurate than traditional depictions.
The thing is, why would they go for a more accurate sail if they were going to go for a less accurate head shape? They could have made it more unique and sacrificed accuracy with the higher sail, while keeping the current head, or gone for accuracy in both fields. To me it makes no sense to go with the two options that make the dinosaur less unique in a game that is obviously not trying to go for accuracy.

Try to keep in mind that Dinosaurs are animals, so there will be a bit more flesh covering the body. People tend to imagine Dinosaurs with shrink-wrapped heads. Not to mention this is Jurassic Park. Not everything about an animal is gonna be 100% accurate. The Herrerasaurus is supposed to have two more fingers, vestigial but still visible. The Morphology of Proceratosaurus seems fine, but would obviously require feathers.
They really missed Acro's characteristic skull shape (and man, those arms) but I love how the hump is actually a hump and not just shrinkwrapped to hell and back
Woah, a very impressive carnivore, I was wrong to think it was just a basic revamped large carnivore. Soooo many impressive skins but my favourite has to be the Wetland.

I like that, instead of the classic JP roar, it goes for the more scientifically accurate approach, with the gurgling and the hissing growls. Makes it feel more realistic IMO.
Honestly, My "headcanon" for why the Acro has such a rex like head, is because they had to supplement a bit of Rex DNA due to not having a perfect Acro DNA strain...
Loving the Acro. The fighting animation where it rushes then slashes at the opponent like the animal is thought to have in real life. Hell even the way it walks with its head very elevated. 1 minor nitpick: I do wish it had more of a spinal ridge rather than a hump, especially up towards the top of the neck by the head (not like Carcharodontosaurus, more something closer to like say what the spinoraptor has) and a more slender skull like the actual animal. Otherwise, God-damn beautiful.

One complaint I have is how OP it’s regeneration is Stat wise it’s not too strong but it health recovers incredibly fast so when put it against other dinosaurs it usually looses round one and by the time they go to fight them again acro usually overtakes it in health unless it’s the indoraptor. Love the skins, love the animations but this combined by the way it looks kinda makes it my least favourite of the carnivore pack
Hey Bestinslot! Nice video, as always! I personally think, that the Acro model is ok and the skins are pretty cool., also that jungle pattern kinda reminds me of the bull T.Rex from the Lost World Kenner Toyline.
I noticed they have certain tiny differences in animations. The Acro has a bit of a different style to his roar, he also has the slightly different human kill animation like we saw in the video, and he walks a little more upright than the other large carnivores. Same with the Herrerasaurus. It seems to be loosely based off the spinoraptor but has a slightly different kill animation and running/walking animation.
With the acro now in the game we're getting very close to creating a jpog recreation park. In which you can only use the jpog species and create square enclosures.
The long vertebrae on Acrocanthosaurus wouldn't make a visible sail that you see in dinosaurs like Spinosaurus and Ouranosaurus. It's vertebrae were relatively smaller and thicker, possibly adding extra muscle attachments and forming a low ridge along its back.
The Jungle and Vivid skins remind me of a Yutyrannus for some reason. Maybe the snout gives of the idea the colorful bits are feathers? Like I know Acrocanthosaurus is scaly in this game and in real life, but all I can see is a feathered dinosaur when looking at them
For a unique Acro kill animation, I think it should shove the other dinosaur’s head aside to have access to its neck, bite down, then sort of lunge forward and take a long stride to bring up one of its feet and pin the other dinosaur to the ground.
The Acrocanthosaurus didn't really have a sail. The spines supported a ridge of muscle along its back, like the spines on an American bison. That's why the Acro looked "bulkier" than other theropods.

BestinSlot You should revisit and recreate your All Species Park! With so many new updates its bound to be a challenging and more interesting experience than the first time!
The skull needs to be a little longer and slimmer top-to-bottom, and it needs the divot where the top of the skull goes into the neck, but otherwise it looks REALLY good.
I don't get what people are complaining about? The head shape is identical to the specimen known as Fran, it even has her weird long teeth. It's a little wider than the actual skull when viewed head on, but in profile it looks fine. As for the sail? This interpretation goes with the muscle attachments hypothesis and not the sail hypothesis, the dorsal spines are there, they're just covered in thicc muscle. Overall, this is my new favorite big carnivore.

While it's not a 100% unique animation, the acro uses the bary/ carno/ etc. running animation when leaving the hatchery; which is different from the basic walk of other large carnivores.
I love the jungle pattern because it reminds me of my holiday in the Caribbean which was amazing. One of my dads friends does stuff with boats so we hired the boat for a really good price and we fed stingrays. P.S. Pls play Anthem

The skull is also too wide for a charcarodontosaurid. It is more like a nice T-rex alternative in your park which is nice.

Honestly it would make more sense for the carnivores to have more brighter skins than the herbivores because of they're closer relationship to birds.
I don't know if other dinosaurs do it, but the acro has animated lips when it roars the lips curl up.

maybe its just placebo but the running animation almost seems unique it just throws itself in the direction it wants to go
