- Bluthner baby grand pianos made between 1925 and 1939 are some of the best ever made. Their factory was destroyed in 1942 and unfortunately, the quality never recovered until German unification after 1990. Bluthner style IV and IVa grand pianos (150 and 165cm) are sought after and we try to source and restore as many as possible.

It’ll be a gem when the work is done. I hope you do a further video.
What a beauty.
At 0:27, the restored, repolished Bluethner Baby Grand looks so beautiful; I know black finish may be preferred in some contexts, but if I could buy a grand I would like it to look like this. Of course the sound and regulation is much more important, still, beauty speaks for itself.
My 45 year old Alexander Herrmann upright, DDR made, has a beautiful sound and even the basso is excellent; its color is light oak, but it is not really a beauty like this one with the deep color emphasizeing the grain.
Was the case a custom order?
Could it be satinwood?
There’s a funny buzzing sound of the internet?
I tried a new communist-era Bluethner in Auckland, NZ, and wasn't particularly impressed.
