FMA is a complete story, while Frieren is still ongoing, so I get why there's reluctance among certain old heads about putting it number one. All of your top five anime are completed stories too so you're being consistent here.
But I still disagree. After seeing Gigguk's video on how Frieren changed him. Beyond myself, I know so many people who realized they took their loved ones for granted until it was too late, and they're all actively putting in more time and energy and effort in their relationships, all because they say this one sad elf girl crying for the first time in her life over her dead friend.
That's something intangible. You can't really measure that level of emotional impact in a traditional video essay or series review. That's why I think it should be number one even if it wasn't in my top three either.
@@Serocco Hey thanks for the thoughtful comment! I'm hoping that madhouse continues to pull out all the stops for the next season of Frieren. They have something special here and it would be a shame if they fall short somehow.

Jokes aside, I love FMAB, but haven't given Frieren a go yet. Just something about the classic D&D setting with elves and stuff that makes me disinterested. I immediately assume that the universe will have the same types of races and characters / stereotypes that we've seen before. However, I'll give it a go after watching this.
Dude Mob is sooo good! Def right outside my top 5. The self defense rush is my favorite move.
