- In this video we do a simple test on the FMS FCX18 Chevy K10. What happens when you keep the stock plastic beadlock wheels and replace the stock tires with a set of more aggressive crawler tires? The results will shock you! Not really, I'm sure you'd imagine the performance of the FMS FCX18 Chevy K10 trail truck is improved by adding Injora Swamp Claw crawler tires. And it does improve it, greatly.

I stripped the plastic ring and pinion gears on the stock tires in first 20 mins of driving. Just sayin'.. I then stripped the plastic transmission gears after getting metal ring and pinion gears and upgraded metal wheels and sticky injora tires. The stock drive train is weak sauce unfortunately! FMS might think of getting back to basics themselves... metal drive train parts out the box is pretty standard on cars costing over $100 these days.

Yeah pretty much was at the park dud a few small hill climbs in high gear and shifted back to low gear and rear pinion plastic gear got toasted. On the transmssion i was crawling on some tough rock terrain but still. . Why have a low gear if the drivetrain cant handle the power system? @@YARCWest

Well you have gave it the same amount of throttle as you did with the first of the tires.
I actually had cut out a part at the beginning because it was getting caught on a rock. That's why I started in high gear, then tried again in first gear. The stock tires were definitely warmed up on the first run that is on video. After the change, with cold tires, I was able to crawl up without issue, just barely holding the throttle.
