Of course! I’m glad it was helpful! If I can help anyone else feel more confident and comfortable doing it that’s what matters. I was so nervous, but for no reason! Have fun Tank loved it and I hope your Chi does too!
Amazing, thank you for sharing! I'm trying to plan a similar trip for my cat from London to San Francisco, but no airline flying direct accepts in-cabin pets, so I'm looking for a Swiss option, LHR-Zurich-SFO. But now Swiss tells me no in-cabin pets are allowed to embark from London. Could this be a new rule or simply incorrect information?
No worries! It all depends on the airline. Animals can’t fly in cabin back into the UK but they can fly out, but it is literally dependent on the airline.
Thanks! Either fly into Ireland or fly into Europe. Ireland would be easier as we have friends there and can get the ferry over to wales where we are from. Europe also wouldn’t be too hard as a lot of our friends live in their vans there and would just bring us back with them.
Hi there, Thanks for posting this. We like to know , have you bring your dog back to uk? Because air Canada says from uk to Canada is fine with them. But on return from Canada to London uk immigration won’t allow the dog back to uk. This is sound absurd. Can you please let us know Were you encountered any issues when you bring the pet back to uk.❤
Hi, no we have not but they are correct it isn’t an air Canada thing it is a uk airport thing. We will (if we fly back) fly either into Ireland or Europe. Then travel back by other means.
Very useful video! I am planning to go to Toronto with our puppy too. 😊 I am looking for tickets at the moment, but I couldn’t find Air Canada reservation number! The one I have found could not be recognised. Did you guys call them to make a reservation?
So we were pretty lucky because I had an American google number so I called the Canadian number advertised. I would try and email them if you can because to book your pup on it can only be done over the phone. I didn’t try the UK number because I didn’t want it to cost me. Sorry! Glad the video was useful though!
Here you are Dwayne - a comment in your down below area : - Brilliant video guys, I will be saving it to watch back over. You've been unbelievably helpful is creating this video. Instead of being terrified, I am now super excited to start planing our 2025 Canada/USA trip. Ceri, thank you again for your time answering my questions on instagram xx
Can I just check, when you were going through security with Tank and they asked if he could stand up and turn around, was the pop top up or zipped down for that?
Nope security didn’t check him. It’s the check in desk that would ask that, but they didn’t they just weighed him. But I had checked that he could stand up and turn around because I had heard of that being a possibility to be asked.
@@gm3899 He could do both, just about with the top down. We had him get used to it with it down for a few weeks before, but we had it popped up the whole time so it could squidge slightly under the seat.
Thanks so much!! Me and my chi are moving to Miami, we’re going to go via Montreal to break up the journey! It will be American Airlines Montreal to Miami and hope we have good luck throughout ❤
@@AdventuresofSkylathank you for sharing the link! I actually have a 21ins x 13 x 13 and hoping I can use that, it’s within AC dimensions but slightly more than AA 😮
Make sure you check AC as they have different dimensions for different planes. The size never got checked for us just the weight. I doubt every person checking you in wouldn’t know the exact different sizes it can be etc. but incase.
Nope because we had his signed declaration from vet that he gave his rabies and he has his passport we only had the passport the declaration and the fit to fly.
We made sure he had pee’d just before we got through security. It depends on the dog but we knew he wouldn’t need a pee as he doesn’t go for over 12 hours over night. You can put a pee pad in the bag with them.
No worries! Well we saw you weren’t allowed so we put a load in a bag of crisps (chips) and put a peg on it so no one would question it 😊 then we just bought the same food in Canada 😊
You have no idea how much I appreciate this video. Thank you for sharing your experience
I am so glad that it helped in some way! 😊
thanks for making this video. I will be taking a 3.5kg Chihuahua on a plane so is fantastic that people upload their experiences. its a like!

Thank you for sharing your experience. Very informative.

Hey of course!! So glad we can help we have so much information on this maybe we need to do a sit down Q&A for people. 😊

Ah right okay! Could he stand up and turn around with the pop top down too? Or just if it was up?

Amazing, thank you so much! This has literally made the difference between moving back to Canada or not 😂
Ahh no worries!! They are honestly super easy about it! And going through customs… they didn’t even look at him! 😆
Hey what airport in Canada did you fly to? Can you also post a link to your carrier?
We flew to Toronto. Yes I will post you the link 😊

Last question I promise but will be helpful for others too 🫣 How did you take dog food? Can you take it in cabin? Clear bags?
