Spot on the so-called disadvantage of Superblast 2: You tend to run faster as the energy return of this shoe is so great. Another disadvantage is that it may be very difficult to get in some regions as it's always sold out.
i tried my regular size 8 with novablast 5 but feels really loose and large. Is it the same with superblast 2? Thinking of getting sb2 but not sure if ill go for tts 8 or half size down.
IMO these models are asics actual running shoes. I don’t even consider the nimbus or kayano to be real running shoes. NB is an actual running shoe. That’s just my opinion. Most running shoes purchased are not actually used for running. Brands know this.
The Kayano’s seem like a good shoe for stability but I haven’t tested them out. I agree that some running brands have been putting “running shoes” that are more like walking shoes though hahaha
@@jasonjogs I had a Nimbus 26 and it is good for heel striking and walking. I switched to forefoot striking and they were so awefull! Extremely hard and loud slapping onto the ground, like you are too stupid to run! Sold them. Now, Kayano 31 Lite-Show is good for walking. Probably better for running than the Nimbus. Honestly, they are pretty much the same, but IF you really pronate more, the stability System of the Kayano helps you a bit. If you don't, then you don't notice it that something is there. So, when the Kayano exists and costs the same as the Nimbus, there is no reason for the Nimbus to exist. For reference: I have NB4 TR, SB1, SB2, many other shoes but recently have fallen in love with Puma, since they fit me perfectly, the Nitro foam is perfect for a heavier guy like me (1,80m and fat 92kg atm), Pumagrip is outstanding!, i like the upper and the laces (which are a bit stretchy). No annoyances, no fuss, just what you (or I) want. And also for a better price than the competition! Only the official drop of 10mm is a bit high, i wish it were a bit less. I jokingly said, I am going to sell all other shoes i have and go all in with Puma ;) Massiveley underrated and a dark horse Puma, with their latest generation of shoes they are right up there with the others! VN3 - Velocity Nitro 3 as a standard daily trainer DN3 - Deviate Nitro 3 as a plated tempo shoe DNE3 - Deviate Nitro Elite 3 as a race shoe Foreverrun Nitro - mild stability shoe (now the "Knit" version has much more rocker) with much more bounce than expected Magnify Nitro 2 - more stack than VN3 and a "baby Magmax") MagMax - super high stacked alternative to the others on the market solid lineup! Also one generation older are very good shoes and similar to the actual ones. And from time to time available for quite some discount! :) There are also other models like Liberate Nitro 2 with a bit lower stack, Fast-R, then those super weird shoe with 2 plates etc.
I personally prefer the more solid stability of the SB2, the NB5 feels a little soft
what do you mean a little soft ?
Ive had a gel nimbus 26 and the nova blast 5 was way softer lmfao
@@TDMitch super soft is the hot trend or fad atm.
@@nanezferrer3565 in the forefoot, yes, absolutely. heel i don't know

Too hard to choose, so I took them both🤣
the best option 🤣

The superblast 2s felt a touch more snug for me than the novablast 5s. they did break in nicely for me after 20-30 miles!
i got SB2 for myself, i found it narrow in my size; so what do you think, is it going to be loosen somewhat on the upper down the road Jason?
It loosened up a touch for me. the upper got more comfortable for me the more miles i put on the shoe!
@ thank you 🙏
