Bee Man’s Life After Massive Hurricane

- It’s been 4 days since hurricane Ida put a hurting on southeast, Louisiana.
We may not have power for a minimum of 2 weeks is what they are saying.
My wife & I are at my house with a generator rationing fuel as it’s in short supply.
We have running water & are able to shower.
It’s rough but we’ve been down this road before.
We will get through this.
8 of my beehives here survived, not sure of the others as I haven’t been able to get over to my main yard yet but I know many trees were toppled over there.
Will check when I can.
This is just a short video of me checking in, giving you a progress report if you will.
More videos like this will be coming & once internet is restored more bee videos will be coming.

You definitely look thinner, and better. Keep doing that you’re doing. We need you around for a long time sharing your bee adventures. I have 3 hive this year. One of them has produced 144 pounds of comb. I wouldn’t have any of them without your videos. You got me into bee keeping. 👍

Good to see you're ok. It has made its way up to the northeast. I'm just outside Philly and the flooding here was by far the worst I've ever seen. Of course it is still nothing compared to what Louisiana gets tho.

So glad y’all ok. You’ve been an inspiration to me. I’ve probably seen all your videos. One of yours was the first one I watched. Bees in the fence or bees on the car. I’ve been trying to keep bees for a year and a half now. I bought a nuc box package late April last and now have one double deep hive, 3 single deeps and a five frame nuc. I’ve done six removals caught two swarms in traps and two that people called me on. I also managed to share some bees with a few friends I’ve met in this hobby and produce 25 pounds of honey. All that to say hurry up and get through this a lot of people look to you for inspiration. You got this man.
