Hughie's lack of results include: Finding a way to knock out Translucent, killing Translucent, getting the cameras in Popclaw's apartment which led them to finding Kimiko and V, getting Annie's help, saving Frenchie and M.M. after Daddy said "fuck dem kids," more to come. Before Hughie, the Boys did jack shit but get some kids killed. The Boys 1.0 was a failure, Hughie was the hero they needed.
Right. They were together for years and did absolutely nothing. They are talking about how Hughie is fucking everything up. When Everything went to shit when Butcher was leading in S1.
I don't think we have enough information at this point to conclude whether The Boys 1.0 was a failure (except when you read the comics perhaps, and consider them as canon, which they really aren't). But Hughie for sure deserves more respect for his contributions. He is a spice girl - the group cannot survive without him, or any other single member for that matter.
@@Rieky22 And M.M. is the glue, and Frenchie is the soul, and Kimiko is the muscle. They all matter, no-one is "just" anything. Or otherwise you haven't been paying attention. Sure, Butcher might be the head, but Hughie is the heart. An organism needs all components.
Edgar doesn't fear Homelander simply because he's always been around Supes as the CEO of Vought. Power is a dime a dozen, but respect is the real currency that matters. Edgar doesn't respect Homelander because he's ignorant and arrogant. To him, Homelander is a walking tantrum and a liability to the company (like Jinx from Arcane). And emotional damage is twice as effective against Homelander than any weapon.
Did Hughie say nothing on the phone bacause he was scared Vaught was listening or didn't he want to drag Annie into this mess? Cause MM said that thing with her phone being buged.
Also MM just mentioned how Raynor's head just got blown up when she 'said something she wasn't supposed to'. For all Hughie knows the same could happen to Annie at any second.

I agree with Homelander about one thing: that blind guy 'Blind spot' shouldn't be in The seven. It's okay when they fight against just humans, but this guy has very significant weakness to fight against other sups, cause they can do exactly what Homelander did. Of course what he did was horrible, but are we surprised? I see it like that, it would be dangerous not only for the team, but for that guy too. Of course Homelander did it for other reasons I don't know, is it stupid what I said? Cause that guy is very skillful
Given Homelander's name, and the fact that he is literally wearing an American flag as a cape, can you really be surprised at this point that he is a nationalist?
I am so enjoying watching y'all reactions. I love the talks before and after. You guys just get so deep into it that I'm thinking oh yes, that makes sense.
as bad as it was, i feel like y’all are lowkey doing too much on the annie/gecko situation. look at her face during those scenes; she did NOT want to be doing what she was doing and she did feel bad about it. he wasn’t just someone she ain’t give af about. in a way, SHE was butcher’s successor this episode: doubling down and doing whatever she had to do to get results, no matter how messed up the methods; something we saw hughie couldn’t manage. edit: adorkable was on it at the end! y’all was on hughie’s ass lmao
Lol…. Yup. You’re not wrong 🥺. I don’t like seeing Annie go down the road of “The Boys”. I’d right by her. She with the wrong man. Huey lacking 😂. But for real. I get it. Just tough to watch lol. Adorkable likes Huey i found. Lol. She likes them type of boys.
Adorkable's (I think that's what you call her?)perspective was definitely needed at the end, she has a more objective view on the situation for each character. It was like the guys just had a narrow view on their perspective this episode, when it came to their review at the end. It was like Rock Lee hear a "lie", and then just shuts down his understand and where Hughie is coming from. We just MM talking down and warning Hughie about bug tapping and being watched, so it forced Hughie into a corner. I just recommend seeing where the characters come from when it comes to their actions. You defended Homelanders perspective on the world and how it made sense how he was when we saw his backstory. But cant see things from Hughies perspective?
I think a thing missing is. I understand Hughies perspective, but i focued on what i found issue with. I decide what i want to focus my energy on sharing based on what emotionally is most interesting to talk about . But that doesn’t mean I don’t understand. Understanding and Feeling are different points of focus.
Sorry, but Adorkable is right. MM has no right to point the finger at Hughie because he put his family in danger the day he agreed to work with Butcher, who just uses people's best features to suit his needs. MM is a grown man and has worked with Butcher and CHOSE to put his family in danger. Hughie was an innocent bystander when A-Train murdered his girlfriend while he had her hands in his and has his own trauma, like you've said.
No he didn’t. *Spoiler* Teddy stillwell makes a cameo appearance in season 3, probably teleported away as a defense mechanism bc of how distressed he was.
Oh man,.... That cut after Raynor's head got exploded.... They were telling us the whole time, right under our noses. We just didn't see it. I'm only noticing it now. This show be tight like that.

36:35 I'd say Hughie wasn't that great of a liar in that scene but in season 1 he pulled of lies pretty successfully.
They're not going to kill Stormfront because she exposed that their movie/ad/whatever has actors and is on a set.
Black Noir is so cold. They actually gave him some coolness in the TV show compared to the comics.

The Seven actually never go after other Supes, it's all just propaganda. Only one actually hunting the other supes on orders is Black Noir.
