JAMES holy shit, my jaw dropped with this to the numbers bit
Me too! Literally
Eugene and Jamie's characters added in this movie also adds a chilling implication that becoming a slasher villain is a franchise in-universe to the movie (as well as a nice nod to older OG slashers). It's like an allegory to some people passing on their generational traumas/messed-up stuff or like slasher villains are some underground organized hate group or something... 0_0
Every week these videos get better - your commentary, your research, your jokes. Your genuine love for horror movies always makes it a joy to watch you work. I know it was a joke but you don't just take "20 minutes to count kills." There's so much detail put into every movie you cover and it's why I go back to rewatch your videos the same way I rewatch my favorite horror films.
James' nervous glances during the To The Numbers gag has me dead.
Scream: We are one meta horror movie

That “to the numbers bit” WAS AWESOME!!!
James in overalls is one of the greatest goddamn sights ever.
Yep, I wonder what he does on the side.........
his voice makes everyone happy for some reason
@@swolzer you already know why quit playing
Aye I’m actually somewhat punctual to one of these
I just wanna say something rq. This channel is seriously one of my best quarantine finds. You’ve gotten me through more bad days then I can count and I appreciate every bit of it. Keep up the amazing work man
Thank you so much for the lovely comment!
Kill Count: *drops*
The Count: Aw shit, here we go again ah ah ah
LOL !
I fucking LOVE the cameo before the To the Numbers. My favorite to the numbers bit ever. I may have squeaked a little in sheer excitement.
I love how he doesnt just do kills he explains the movie enough to understand what the plot is i love it
Also adding little tid bits about production it’s pretty neat
That's part of the reason why people watch
I love that the mentor couple is a slasher and a final girl, touching on that whole “do they actually love each other???” trope in slashers to try to deepen the connection between the killer and his would-be victim
I give it a few years before James writes and directs his own horror film and I will whole heartedly support it
Its going to be thankskilling 5
Lol
"She cant even vote TOdd"
Gets me everytime
Nobodya talking about the cameo from the main actor himself?? LEGENDARY
Of course he showed up, it was his life's work
@@skun406 rude.
@@Michael-hc2vs how was it rude?
Everyone is talking about it
@@Michael-hc2vs I was talking about the character, not about the actor - if that's what you meant.
I was honestly expecting Mr. Vernon to stab Mr. Janisse with the scythe just as he was in the middle of counting the pie chart. The tension from that segment alone had me spooked.
"Really, he's got good taste. Look how hot she is."
"She can't even vote, Todd."

started watching this kill count because i didn’t think i’d care to actually see the full movie. changed my mind 8 minutes in and paused the video to watch the movie.
maybe the meta stuff just really works for me. maybe the cliches still work for me, because i’ve seen less of these movies.
whatever it is, i loved this movie. it’s absolutely a new favorite.

Good for you for doing it the right way.

Leslie’s killer design is cool asf to me. Mainly his mask.
I love this movie so much. It deserves so much more recognition.
I bring out Behind the Mask every Halloween and it's always been a hit - one of those "how did I not know about this??" movies for horror fans. When HE showed up, I clapped like a 2nd-grade girl who just saw Elsa at Disneyland. This is the flick I've always been hoping you'd get to, and the Kill Count is fantastic. Nice work, everybody.
Just asking but does anyone else wanna see James and his crew make a horror movie?
And make a kill count about it
That would be pretty cool. Zoran’s character would have an enlarged head for some reason, I believe.
Honestly James inspired me to make a horror film so I would love to see him make his own

I always imagine that a few sequels down the road, Leslie and Taylor would give in to their chemistry and retire together in cozy marital bliss like Leslie's mentor and his wife.
The WHOLE time I kept thinking that they had a weird chemistry going on.
Well wasn’t she his real final girl too?
@@greenunicorn9908 yeah? What’s your point?
@@darkx6869 sorry I meant to question the other couple. His wife was she his final girl too? just like Taylor was to Leslie. Stockhold syndrome maybe?

"For good to be pitied against evil, you have to have evil. Don't ya?"
James's confused glances during the To The Numbers seemed so genuine.
