Where’s the….Paul warne out….army at 😆 the man has done an outstanding job….best defensive record in the football league….22 clean sheets…golden glove winners….NML most goal contributions in the league…averaged 2 points a game….highest ever points tally….all in 2 seasons with a team thrown together for free….fitting Birdy signed off on his 200th appearance with a belter…great lad like warne said…absolutely buzzing we’ve got automatic promotion….the lottery of the play offs always breaks hearts and I didn’t fancy it being us….up the Mighty Rams 🐏
I was one of them. I appreciate what he has achieved. I am still concerned about Warnes Record in the Championship. We cannot play his style of Football in Championship. Football is ruthless. Just cant see him lasting a full season. I hope I am wrong because Warney is a Top bloke.

At the time almost everyone questioned Warne’s suitability as the football had been terrible, the results mixed and we were well off the playoffs.
Eventually we started picking up the points, climbing the table and we are all happy. Well done anyone that could see any positives at that point as the last few months have been a different story. Maybe it just takes players a long time to adapt to Paul’s style. Feels good now!

Its mental to think Billy Davies took us to the Premiership and gave us our last promotion (before this) and yet he's universally hated by the fans 😂😂,, Warne isn't exactly loved by the whole fanbase despite giving usa record number of away wins, best defence over a 46 game season, best ppg over a season, most wins over a 46 game season and a first autos promotion in nearly 30 years... Miffed 😂.
The problem with Billy was his big head, ego and hardly any appreciation for the fans. Hardly gave any credit to his players, (doubt he had a great working relationship with them), never mind going on to manage the red dogs!

I went to the celebration at Pride Park back in 2007 and I took my Son at 8 weeks old....he's now 17 🤯
@@topcat4759 i agree he wasn't a likeable character and it was always about Billy and Billy only. He did however give us a record points haul at the time, and took a very average team to promotion to the Premiership, we were in a mess fighting relegation the previous season. It's a shame he engineered his exit right after,, he wanted nothing to do with that summer after the Wembley win, he wanted out before the transfer window opened. You couldn't blame him entirely for that as it was obvious the owners wanted to cut and run taking a nice profit. That promotion was like a massive gift horse fluke for all involved.
