I'm glad we got an insight into Zeke's childhood, and now I understand why he's like this, his parents (mainly his mom) has always influenced him to do whatever it takes to get his way. His mom is just as toxic as he is, and now I understand why he's so toxic and manipulative. (This doesn't in anyway excuse or justify his actions, but it explains them which is something I *love* when writing antagonists, make them 3 dimensional, make them feel like real people.) Thank you for this chapter! It was defo worth the wait. But I also really feel like Doris and Chase need to talk it out, but until they find out that Zeke's been tearing them apart, telling lies, then I doubt that's gonna happen. Chase might try to talk to Doris but I doubt Doris would be in a state of mind where she'd be able to bear it. Regardless of how you end up resolving the conflict, I'm sure it will end up amazing as always.

SAME LIKE ONE TIME THERE WERE ANTS IN MY HOUSE AND I LITERALLY JUST JUMPED AROUND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LOUNGE ROOM ON THE CARPET BC IT WAS HARD FOR THE ANTS TO CLIMB THAT CARPET BUT THEN I SAW ONE ON THE CARPET AND I KINDA JUST DIED. Usually I don’t relate to Brayson much but damn I also never related more in my life. 💀
Although Zeke’s personal life may have been horrible, he shouldn’t have lied like that. No one deserves a mother like his, but Zeke needs to realize what he’s doing. Someone needs to find out about his lie…or else IM TELLING THEM MYSELF!!! It’s so amazing to see how the characters have developed throughout the comic💗

Sure, he was brought up by a toxic person (his mother), but that doesn't at all justify his actions. But great chapter/episode none the less.
Nahhh I thought zeke was genuinely bad but it’s nice to know about his childhood just like the other main characters. It hurts to know that zeke was raised wrong. But I hope zeke soon realizes things won’t always go his way and he apologizes for lying and being manipulative especially towards doris. If he really cared about her and her feelings he would tell her the truth.
“I told myself I would protect her…but maybe…just maybe..Chase isn’t a stereotype sports guy.”
Now I see where Zeke gets his manipulated behavior from. I honestly hope Doris can become friends with Zeke’s sister than Zeke himself.

At first i thought Zeke was a jerk, but now that i know his origins and how of an hypocrite is his mother i understand how Zeke is.
I wish he manages to make this right in the end and face consecuences so he changes for the good. and if possible at some point face his mother for all that.
Zeke, this is the final chance to come clean. Annabelle will be furious, but she will forgive you, but if you cross that line then there will be no forgiveness when it all clicks in for her.

I just discovered this series last night and binge watched all the episodes because i couldn't put it down lol which is odd because this is not what i would typically read im not even very into comics but it is drawn so well and you really bring the characters to life its definitely a good read ty🖤and my favorite character is definitely brayson

It’s interesting to see where he got his bad behavior from. I realize that I get too judgmental of and hateful toward Zeke, and it’s humbling to find out that’s what he was taught growing up. I’m impressed by his sister’s conscience. I feel bad for them.
Ah, your art is outstandingly beautiful in this chapter! I love it. And Brayson’s reaction to the bed bugs was the best thing! 😆 I laughed at that and am still giggling on the inside. (And in all honesty, I would probably react the same way he did, haha.)

Zeke as a character I find REALLY hard to feel anything for, so it's cool to get to see where he's coming from and the fact that his parents helped to mold him this way. Of course, as everyone has been saying, that's no excuse, but it's nice to see that he's not just some self absorbed kid with nice guy syndrome. And the fact that he's finally starting to notice the pain his actions have caused makes me despise him QUITE a bit less.
I think the only way for Doris to know that Zeke is manipulating her is for him to tell her out of guilt witch isn’t likely. Or for Annabelle to call Chase and be direct and may be (if she plays her cards right) can get chase to believe her then they can find a way to stop Zeke . But that’s a bit of a stretch.

I can relate to brason, I'm VERY scared of bugs. Because a bug came in the house, I started just putting a blanket of my self which felt suffocating, and then started crying. 😶
Those poor people who had to give money to her.. (even though the people who gave money are rich) 😅

Although many people probably hate Zeke, he doesn’t have the worst intentions. He did tell himself that he was protecting Doris. In his mind, he’s protecting her from a bully, (even though Chase isn’t a bully.) Although, he still makes my blood boil.
All right, those deep thoughts of regret are kickin in. How long will he last?

I feel kind of bad for Zeke. He wants her to be with him so they could BOTH be happy but he’s just making things worse. (And his parents aren’t the best influences) he needs to own up now or the consequences are gonna get worse 😕
