True. Until then... PS3 emulator works pretty good. It's even possible to play split screen multiplayer over the internet using Steam remote play together or Parsec.
If I ignore my considerable nostalgia for some of the older games, this is easily one of the best Beat-'em-Ups ever made. Thanks for showcasing high level play and I am looking forward to your take on the other characters. :)
I don't have any nostalgia for beat-em-ups but still think the same. I especially appreciate how well RPG elements work with combat without breaking anything.
Excellent work! More than with so many other beat ‘em ups, it’s the little details and homages scattered all over the shop this make it special - how the Minotaur’s death animation is a tribute to the one in The King of Dragons - Sautteed Minotaur Tongue later on - how absurdly quick the firing rate on crossbow enemies is (although they never take as much advantage of it as they should) - how generally good the Village Girls are at being defenseless escorts and staying out of the way (shockingly so for the era and considering the genre) Unrelated: the way Elf sends some enemies utterly ZOOMING with her flying kick, like she’s a beat em up version of Liu Kang, will never not be funny
Thanks for this video. I remember trying to play as the Elf, but she felt so different compared to my classes, the Wizard and Sorceress. I couldn't get used to her style at all.
Dragon's Crown? Elf run? Oh yea, so glad this. Man this just going make me revisit it again which i do need to after playing GrimGrimoire and Unicorn Overlord.
Great run as always!! Questions for you...I know you typically don't do rpgs. In this game I know there is emphasis on getting certain weapons/items with different attributes as well as skill trees etc. How do you go about this for this game? Do you streamline the process and just get whatever weapons and skills? Or do you actually grind a bit for weapons and lookup skill guides, etc? I ask because I like how you focused on the arcade mode only as I had to put this down because of the Tower of mirages grind and I always thought this game would be better left as a fleshed out arcade style game without the isometric RPG grind.
Yeah, I really wish this game had an arcade mode with completely predefined balance. The leveling up and loot grind is a bit of a time sink in this, but I don't think you have to worry about it too much, at least through this difficulty. If you really want to min/max your setup, you'll get a damage boost and more survivability out of it and stuff, but you'll still be fine if you just throw things together as you go. The skill tree might be a little more important, but you really just need to pump up the few most important skills I think, then you can pick up whatever else you like. That's for Infernal mode though. I still haven't tried the higher difficulty, which lets you go past level 99... I feel like that one might be a real grindfest.
Ahhhh I gotcha! Thanks for the reply. I think I may revisit this and try to streamline this for myself. I know there's a Japanese wiki that talks about the most efficient skills for each class and different builds.....so I'll probably be taking a look at that very soon lol. You gave me some ideas for the elf, so when I get to her, I'll try to mimic some of your tactics and add my own play style to it too 😎
This one and Odin's Sphere... Vanillaware... Please port to PC. I can emulate both of them, but I'd rather pay you money and have a working MP on Steam. Come on.
@@iconoclast575 Oh, yes-yes-yes !!! I completely forgot about it !!! It sucks shit that I have to Dolphin the original version instead of being able to just boot it up from Steam.
Fairly sure Vanillaware's ceo has the dipshit take of "uhhh PC causes piracy" especially since the recent release (Unicorn Overlord) didn't get a pc port due to Vanillaware, even Atlus wanted them to make a pc port for the game lol
@@ThomasH-tp8rr yeah, it's just a repeat of the same bosses basically with bit of mixup. The game is great for a couple playthroughs with friends for sure. It's not along game btw, that's why I'm saying a second one would be nice with some interesting features for replaying
I honestly wish there was a way to turn off Rowan's voice. His constant quips got on my nerves! Just STFU and grab the treasure, that's your only JOB!!!!
It's a crime this game doesn't have a PC port
It's like they don't want money.

@@Miraihi of course there are emulators but it's not the same as a real port
@@Rolfhn Of course, it's more hassle. I want the real port too. Hope it happens someday.
Totes -_-
love this game. amazing animation and art, fun action, booba.... this game has it all

I think the only other beat em ups that can compare are Guardian Heroes and Shadow over Mystara; maybe Battle Circuit too.
Rest In Peace Amazon and Dwarf's Japanese VAs, Atsuko Tanaka & Unsho Ishizuka.

Been actually wanting to see this for a while! Go for it! It'd be nice to see the strats you use for each character!
Great job! Every character feels pretty different from one another. They are all fun to play.
Incredibly beautiful! A labour of love.

This game reminds me of the ancient Snes game: King of Dragons. LOL. Yeah, i'm that old.
Dragon's Crown? Elf run? Oh yea, so glad this. Man this just going make me revisit it again which i do need to after playing GrimGrimoire and Unicorn Overlord.
Whoa. The memories with this one. What a cool gem.
This is a awesome game still playing haven't finished
I've been hoping for a switch port of this as well as Muramasa and Odens sphere!
this game owns so hard. great playthrough.
thanks bro so good
To know that this game has not been released for the Nintendo Switch yet is rather baffling.
I had fun with this in the Vita days. I wish this game had an arcade mode because grinding for equipment and levels takes me out of this sometimes.
This game looks awesome!!!!
Never heard of this game. Looks crazy though.
the first game was launch in ps3, then, arrived in ps vita, and least, launch in ps4 and 5 whit the name pro
Great run as always!!

I'd forgotten that the "filthy lucre" line came from this game.
Sorceres infernal when? 🥰
The mages saying Uuuh-abracadabra is hilarious
"I play this game for its massive plot"
I didn’t think you would continue this
Slowly but surely!
got it on PS3, then on PS4/PS5 with this pro edition. I wish so hard it came on PC two !!
I was sure your next upload was going to be Völgarr the Viking II
I still haven't tried it. I'm sure it's great, though.
This game was Delicious in Dungeon before it became popular.

I wish they'd port Muramasa to modern systems too. The complete game is still stuck on the Vita.

Nice work playing her! I had a hard time playing the Archer.
Only ps3 and vita? No pc?
All Stages, No Deaths (ISorceress)😗?
Great game, wish they had made a second one with better more replay ability. Or at least dlc/expansion.
You played the chaos laberinth in the game?
