NEW video every Monday and Wednesday! Thank you for cleaning with me. This is a tutorial on how I clean my pre-loved and vintage Louis Vuitton bag with saddle soap for a deep clean. I am using a louis vuitton Alma bag in this video. Have you ever used saddle soap?
Super helpful! Thank you! I have seen some info on the internet warning not to use saddle soap, but I am going to give it a try on my 20 and 25 year old Louis Vuitton bags.
I am here not because of a purse but because I got a 1960 Abercrombie & Fitch dimitri Omersa rhinoceros foot stool that has to be cleaned and conditioned & thanks for the tips!
I’ve never tried saddle soap before but now I feel like I could. I really like how you explain things as you are going through it. Looks like a lot of the stains got lighter and some even went away. Thank you for this
Hi, i really like how you explain everything. Very informative! I'm wondering if you've experienced scratched leather? Also, would u know if tarnished hardware can cause stains? Thanks!!!
Hi! Question. I’m doing this tomorrow. Have seen some videos where people use baby wipes (no alcohol) and saddle soap. Would you say that process is equally safe?
Hello, I tried removing the spots with the apple conditioner on the vachetta leather and it worked. However now the area is a bit grey and the texture feels slightly rough (there’s no sheen either). Does anyone know if it’ll go back to the tanned color like before?
I saw a video where they put a leather purse in a sink filled with water and dish soap. Do you know if that would actually ruin a purse? I always thought we can't get leather wet

You are so welcome! Have fun and move slowly the first time :)
Why not show pic of the bag once it is completely dry? Also, did you wait for the bag to dry before adding a conditioner?
Yes, condition when dry. The purpose was the show how to clean it safely. I will make a before an after part 2 for a before and after. 🦋

Aww thank you for saying that. I am glad this video made you want to try to it. I hope out works out for you 💕
I have used saddle soap on several on my LV bags and it works the best
That's great to hear! Saddle soap is indeed a popular choice for cleaning leather bags.

Thank you! No I had no issues with scratched leather. As for the hardware question, I supposed that's possible with rust.
Did you let it dry completely at the end before you added conditioner? Thanks!
It's important to let your hair dry completely before adding conditioner for best results.
Thank you so much for this video. Extremely helpful and informative! I plan on following your method with the pre-owned LV I recently purchased.
Glad it was helpful! Hope it turns out ok. Thank you for watching

I've seen those too. I 've never tried it so I can't say for sure but in theory it sounds hydrating and soothing to the leather.
How was dry? We need to see
I will make a part 2 :)

Vachetta darkens over time so yes! I would recommend polishing and moisturizing.
Thank you!😇
You're very welcome! I appreciate your support and engagement with my content!
ery beautiful sack and. Thanks for helping to make this beautiful video for us #LVGUCI
My pleasure!!

Oh that’s video I have been tried and it’s doesn’t work the vachetta turned very dark😢
OMG! no never do that
That is exactly what would happen.
Thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Did you condition the bag before cleaning? Or can you clean before conditioning?
Yes, please condition before cleaning. Conditioning should be happening regulalry as part of maintenance.
Do you clean bags like this for clients?
No, only my own.
Why is zipper wavey?
That happens sometimes with vintage bags.
Stuff towels in there so it doesn't flop around so much
Great suggestion! Thank you
