Nice job, love this song what sticks in my mind from seeing The Heartbreakers is how loud they were. Also a big fan of Rossi from Slaughter and the dogs guitar work live.
hey! thanks! awesome, man! did you see them live? the twins reverbs at max volume must have been deafening gotta give a better listen to the slaughter and the dogs. their first album has "who are the mystery girls" cover, right?
I like guitar you put on it. I just consider this more as a Jerry Nolan tune, than a Heartbreakers one. even if this track is played over the Heartbreakers recording from england 77' I belive. Nolan's voice is charactiristic and awsome, to be just labeled as a johnny thunders and the heartbreakers cover. Its his song, just with that line-up. He gave later out it on a single with Pretty Babies, and tha was like 82'. If I even find it online or in a store somewere i would spend my last dollars on it, because its not just a killer track. its really rare to find in a physical format
Thanks! You have a point. But the fact that Jerry wrote and sings this song doesn't change the name of the band, right? I mean, "Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers" was the name of the band, and this track that I am playing along, from the "Down to Kill" album, was recorded with this band. If I was playing guitar along with the 1982's Jerry Nolan version, I would have certainly put "Jerry Nolan - Take A Chance With Me (guitar cover)" as the title of the video. Hope you find the record, dude!
Keep it up man youre keeping the 70s alive fr
