Fantastic. I had a grand uncle who was a musician in the Northern Syncopated Orchestra in West Hartlepool, England in 1921. Anyone with any information?
Fletcher Henderson's memorable theme!
Oh wie schön! Es gibt doch Nachwuchs und diese wunderbare Musik verschwindet nicht von der Bildfläche. Gratulation zu dieser fantstisch lebendig gespielten Aufnahme. Mehr davon bitte!
You guys nailed it! Spot on style, phrasing, look, the whole package. Thanks for sharing. JT
"Chapeau!" => A very - very - very HIGH CLASS Fletcher Henderson Orchestra!
Merci Robert!
Oh yeah! A lot of work must have gone into that!
This was excellent. Being a drummer myself and a lover of this kind of music and the vintage drums from that era the drummer was great. He had the right equipment and the right cymbals to recreate that sound.
Thanks, appreciate that!
Nice to hear and see Laurin Habert-he often comes to UK and plays with our Ewan Bleach
I feel like I'm in 1920's!
the more I hear, the more I want to hear!
Oh Great stuff! Trumpet licks, though, need to more fluent to sound like Biderbeck!
Wonderful performance, perfectly recorded! The band's enjoyment makes a huge cotribution too!
trombone a bit down in the mix. love the band though! 🙂
Well played! And nicely recorded too.
The best of the orchestras still recording and playing these old songs in my opinion.
Thank you so much Dominic, this is heart warming!
Yeah!
Fantastisch wie ihr junge Seicher spielen könnt.
23 Skido Man. That’s Hot!
The alto soloist about half-way through impressed me the most
Eldar Tsalikov is a phenomenal musician. We're bringing out an excerpt from a session this week with him. Stay tuned!
I think all the member of the band were doing a great job!
I love this tune - great band, many congratulations! Must listen to more of your recordings.
aaaahh great!!! what a fantastic band
CONGRATULATIONS !!! (for Claus Jacobi arrangements, for each musician's quality, great sound). GRÜSSE aus Elsass/Frankreich
Very enjoyable... Rosa Larsen
Great stuff!
Love this!!! :-)
Great 1920s sound.
Quite good...well done!
excellent! great arrangement.
All those vests and ties sound excellent.
Fine!
Very good, except that (as a trombone player who has played this tune), I think the bone player should simplify his part somewhat, more in keeping with the original.
Glad you like this interpretation and thank you for your input! In which context did you play this tune?
A little uneven on skill level among the group, but the overall sound was good.
Just like it would have sounded in 1927!
Better since now you have stereo!
Ragtime bänd...😊
Espectacular
🔥🔥🔥
What I love about this video is that as well as the performance being excellent, the band are clearly enjoying themselves.
They are playing to a recorded track.
@@DrLumpy Dear Craig, not at all! This is an 100% live performance
@@syncopationsociety7061 Believe that if you like.
@@DrLumpy I'm the band director and producer of the video, this is an 100% live perfomance!
Hot at 70C, very nice and getting close to King Oliver's take, that one at 100C
Although I have to say that the more I listen the more I like, it seems. It goes like this with well played hot jazz tunes.
Fletcher Henderson was the ultimate perfectionist and always complained when some band members didn't come to rehearsals!
❤ love it!
Let your hair down a little, kids. It’s too stiff.
They represented the 1920s. very well.-
Great music, a long tims since I've heard music like this
