You can use a contrast paint to do the basing and you'll get a nice metallic finish. I recommend priming with leadbelcher > Basilicanum grey all over > Flesh tearers red on the red panels. I just prefer the classic 'Eacy Metal style that khorne red gives.
Please ,made another video guid about word bearers but with different colourskim 🥺🥺🥺 Sorry ,my English were bad because I from Russia ..) I hope you do that !!!))
@@AbhorrantEmpress Yes ,different scheme ! I mean use another colour for example not Khorne red but word bearers red and so are the rest of the parts) Like that I think Thanks for the answer !
@@wilhelmwinter7815 well, it's gonna take me a while before I get to it. But if you can't wait; I've seen people using Barak Nar Burgundy with Pink Horror Highlights to create a very dark and rich red. In case you want to check that out!
The word bearers are silver and gold. You are specifically painting the Gal'Vorbak or Serrated sons, AKA the blessed sons How is this such a hard stuck concept?
The first Gal Vorbak were just Argel Tal and his squad, they used the red scheme on Isstvan V. Afterwards the whole Legion switched to red including the NEW Gal Vorbak (because apart from Argel Tal they were gone). For the Calth Atrocity the Word Bearers were already red. They went with red in accordance to the vision of the Siege of Terra that Lorgar received during his pilgrimage in which he saw red legionnaires which were unknown to him (meaning not IX or XV legion), his guide told him they were his sons. As for that "hard stuck concept", it pays to 1) actually know your lore and 2) not be such a bitch about it.
This is simply wonderful. I was joping for a more bergundy color, but yours was still amazing!
Nice artistic flow you show in this video and I love the soft music in the background.
Are you making more videos would like to see more as really like your style.
Beautiful clean paint job! Thanks for sharing
Congratulations on choosing the correct Legion!
I hope you one day go back to upload videos!
Great tutorial. Really like how everything turned out. Clean, crisp, and spot on. Thank you for this.
Beatiful, any reason you don't use contrasts? Not as good as using a base and then shading yourself?
