On behalf of all those Ghost and Mrs. Muir fans - a million thanks this is just beautiful! Your appreciation for the characters is crystal clear. Can't wait to see your other work!
Thanks for this video! I used to watch this serie when I was a child, some years ago, Now, this stories remain in my memory. I love this film, this serie, thanks a lot.
Thanks so much, justjoanie67! This is great! I can't get enough of anything GAMM. I'm with you; I keep watching for an e-mail from Amazon (or anyone else) that this great series has been released. It DOES seem like forever.
justjoanie67--You hit the proverbial "nail" right on the head. Why mess with perfection? IMHO, it would be virtually impossible to bring together all the factors that made GAMM the wonderful show it was the first time around.
Thank you wemacauley! Sometimes I think to myself it would be great if some wonderful producer would remake this into a new series or movie...but then again I wouldn't want them messing with perfection.
Wow, thank you! I just wish I had better video to work with. I absolutely adore this show. I'm still waiting for the day that they finally decide to release it on DVD. (The wait is like forever, ugh!)
Hello Joanie, We had watched the vid. My wife says we have to find the film...was G & Mrs. M a series or full length film ? Really, you've captured and sync'd the beautiful song Lost with the footage admirably....this takes time and sensitivity, much appreciated...also too your enjoyment of my vids.....this is a fine channel, visually and 'sonically', thanks again, Jim
Aw, don't feel bad Jim - I would have had no clue to who Anouk was either until a Dutch friend told me to check her out. I fell in love with that song and thought it would fit perfectly. Anyway, I'm glad you both enjoyed it. The footage was from the TV show (explained more in your '2nd' post)
Joanie, we've just watched The Ghost & Mrs Muir track 'LOST'...A BIG Thank you for that vid....and beautiful song ---Anouk--where have I been ( I don't listen to the radio here , no signal, and not on digital )....you've captured and sync'd excellently. Megan agrees, and says we must find the film.!!! Was it a film or TV series ? Jim
Aw, don't worry about messing up - I'm pretty clueless myself when it comes to half the stuff on the net. I'm so glad you're considering 'Lost'. I've been trying to get my husband to learn Gord's "Your Love's Return" (my fave) but he's too into classic rock and blues (which I enjoy too). My son is giving "Read my mind" a try though. They can both play guitar, but aren't too keen on singing. Good luck in whatever you choose next - I'm sure it will be wonderful!
GaMM was originally a novel from 1945. It was made into a movie in 1947 with Rex Harrison (famous for My Fair Lady). You probably can find in on Amazon UK - If you like old classic movies, you'll like this. In 1968 American TV came out with a series staring Hope Lange and Edward Mulhare. It was a situation comedy on for a half an hour a week and it only lasted 2 seasons. Unfortunately, they haven't released the series on DVD yet.....
Thanks for clarifying things Joanie, and answering all. I'm used to 'messing up' inthese areas, still finding my feet in youtube land.If the dialogue is too corny in old films , I'm up and off to the guitar., otherwise I stay the course, however I can stick it out just for the Astair/Rogers/Kelly/Cagney dance routines. Sorry, sounds male dominated, but Megan knows a lot more. Great info on GaMM, appreciated. & Lost/Anouk 'Wow', that's about summing it up. Considering that one seriously...Jim
I use iMovie (Mac). I started messing with it about a year ago - it's a nice, easy program. I am currently trying to learn Final Cut Express, which is more complicated - but has lots of neat features I'd love to master.
...Anyway, I have some old copies that I made the videos with. I wish they would release it. It really was an lovely show, and I have lots of fond memories growing up watching it.
@justjoanie67 Joanie, I've been going through 'Lost' this morning..for me, it's working it through and trying to 'meld' the guitar and vocal as one..if satisfied, I'll certainly put it up.....welll....funny, one of my favourite GL's is 'Your Loves Return'..been playing it 'forever'..so..that's going up next time....( song for Stephen Foster , subtitle you know ? ) a troubled life. Great re: both your guys play.push them a bit...deliver vocals from the heart, that's what counts.....for now..Jim
Oh Jim - I'm sorry. I have my account set to "approve" the comments before they show up. That's why you didn't see them. I guess I'm a big chicken when it comes to criticism and need to check my comments out first, lol! Now that your on my friends list, they'll automatically show up. :)

A very special video. Keep them coming. This made me smile.
Beautiful! Love how you bookended it with the lighting of, and blowing out of, the candle.

The biggest THANK YOU! So much appreciated. It carries me away.
This is utterly fantastic -- you've given new life to old images! Please make another Gammie vid soon!

@iamamm60 - Thank you! I wish it would come to DVD soon. I'm beginning to think the series is stuck in it's own ghostly limbo somewhere.
