First Drive with Seakeeper Ride - Alaskan Charter Boat

- This is the first run on our Alaska charter boat with the the new Seakeeper Ride vessel attitude control system. This system was installed by our friends at The Bay Company in Ketchikan, Alaska and thus far we are thoroughly impressed at how it controls the pitch and roll of the boat while it's underway and the overall functionality of the system.

I love the innovation of technology for boats these days. A dynamic trim system like this looks like it would add a lot of comfort.
I was skeptical until I took a ride on their demo boat in Seattle. I’m still getting the settings dialed in but it’s already a huge improvement in ride and ease of operation
@@live2boat Glad to hear it's working for you brother.
That turn is ridiculous !
The controllers make cornering wicked. Super happy with the whole system!
I need those
Do you need to manually trim the engines underway before turning on the SK Ride?
@@philOKC You can account for that in the RIDE trim curve. Super easy to make minor adjustments on the fly also.
@ What was a ball park $$ figure for the SK ride system to your boat.
Hey Robbo, now that you're running it everyday, how do you like it? And what's the price range?
Sorry so late Morgan. Here’s the price range for the various sizes:
450 system (up to 26’) is $4,500 MSRP
525 system (27-30’) is $7,500 MSRP
600 system (31-36’) is $10,500 MSRP
750 system (37-42’) is $17,500 MSRP
750 Quad system (same range as 750 but for boats that can’t fit standard 750) is $20,500 MSRP
@live2boat Thanks brother, would you seriously recommend it?
How do you prevent algae growth sitting on water?
@@ahlok925 We use Hull Maxx from Nasco Marine
@@live2boat in my bucket list for next upgrade
Cool.
Damn!!
