- With the release of Gilded Skies, I felt like it would be a good idea to talk about this topic since it has been going on for so long. This video is my opinion and you are free to disagree.

Man I just want guardians class to actually be fun to use
Yeah eating orbs on bob and rodin and luring first boss was a step in the right direction, theres not really anything to tank in this dungeon
What else did you want them to do for guardian it’s a tank class you just taunt and that’s it

Guardians are only relevant when new dungeons release and ppl try to get gear there irrelevant once people get gear
imainge they adding lifesteal type of skill or just using hp too deal dmg omfg the posibley is endless in my op
There drop rates in my opinion are so bad I’ve still never got one legit at level 202 I had to trade for them. And even then was annoying, I miss having two spells in a dungeon.

I remember when aquatic temple came out I was so annoyed that I didn't have them that I just non stop kept doing vc cuz I could 1 shot everything and I literally counted over 500 runs but eventually got my own enhanced inner focus
I definitely agree with this, the legendary spells have not only been overused, but have completely jacked up the trading system. For example, the trading back in Canals was a lot better than it is right now (you used to be able to trade a green t3 set for a good legendary). Once they released, it was leg spell this leg spell that. Very annoying,
for class variety, I feel like it should go back to how it originally was. Warrior using short ranged, high damage spells like enchanted spinning blades while mages use lower damaging, but much more ranged spells like our currrent spells, perhaps health could also be a differentiating factor
berserk was also really fun to use when I played on my alt, you had to kite enemies really close while doing a ton of dmg
also with inner spells being a necessity, currrent boss attacks are designed around it so often, especially on kragg, for the short down time where you run out of speed you could easily get stacked
they're also a 1/2000 drop yet they have very little value at the higher dungeons, so while it's rare to drop one you can't really get too excited for it
Thanks for finally bringing up the 1 tick spell problem. I noticed this problem a long time ago but never brought it up since I could not think of a way to word it properly.
This is something that I have never really thought about but then I realized how much of this was accurate. There really needs some variety in spells.

Honestly as a beta player I think they should add a dungeon system like Boss Raids for level 200+ and make it possible without speed spells but use mobs from all previous dungeons and bosses as an ability of the main boss that has to be fought after reaching level 350 or something like that kinda like treasure quest and make it easier to level up not 398.9 dungeons to go from lvl 190 to lvl 191 or 45.8 for reaching lvl 192 feom 191 amd so on through the levels like make the dungeons give double their current exp for those who are above level 190 so it is slightly easier to progress in levels and have special rewards for being on the level leaderboard and add a feature for dual wielding non dual weapons would make players actually have to grin more to get another good weapon of their class choice

Enhanced Inner Focus was suppose to be a celebration spell for 1B visits, and I thought it would be a really rare spell to get, people would overpay just for the spell. But over the years it got overrated, I realized that speed spells and stackable spells are losing their trend. Smite and pulse waves were a really spell back in the day and in winter outpost such as fire bomb and arcane barrage were really great

I started over again and my god the nostalgia and how hard it is. It so different. The game gets the same after underworld. Its basically get best spell and armor and only then you can have a slight chance to solo the dungeon

maybe also add some buffs to weapons? specifically legendaries and ultimates, like weapons that are like shields have a chance of ignoring damage, and mage weapons can increase a little bit of spell power or decrease cooldown of spells.
i would want to add the damage of the basic attacks that they should be boosted for warriors as a set effect (when you wear the complete gs set for warrior for example)
then it would finally be useful again and bring variety into the gameplay

i also want to bring up that the class of the guardian could really need some new spells to also gain variety
this class almost gets ignored completely and people also just keep spamming heals and thats it
where are the shield spells? where are the taunts? theyre useless
potential fix to eir/eif is to make it so that two different speed spells will slow down the player by spell 1 + spell 2 so for example a speed spell that has a 50% speed boost and one with 40% speed boost would slow you down by 90% if you used both at the same time and then making the best spell the speed spell but making it so you would have to time it as to not be frozen by the speed spell.
Totally agree like at least let us use a variety of one and multiple tick spells without having to have eif or eir in one of the slots
Back in the day when kings castle was the highest dungeon hybrid setups were viable with tank gear. At that point in time I think the game was the most interesting and fun. They should also buff left click damage with melee probably best for bosses

I think the game needs more variety in general. Maybe a quest system, practice mode, more bossfights, etc. On top of the lack of variety in gameplay, the game feels boring and unrewarding to play due to reasons mentioned in the video, as well as how much grinding is needed to get good items and level up.
so basically something to change it up since it's just a repetitive cycle of, dungeon release, grind for gear, prepare for next dungeon, wait for release

vcaffy needs to just completely redesign each class especially support since "support" is just another word for a healer in this game. (not to mention tanks being unused for years)
1. I think it's time to add skills that give you flight while casting or jump boost so the next dungeon would have to have Arial attacks and a whole floor DPS kinda thing..
2. For leg spells it should have like a nerf for every higher dungeon like since it gives 90% + base damage every dungeon it gets nerf to -10% so people will use other skills.
3. They should introduce Lifesteals and immunity skill; so the three roles should have their own previlages like Mage can Aerial cast and heal while Warriors have Jump/Jump + speed boost and Lifesteal skills and lastly tanks have immunity type of skills or skills that reduce the damage of nps like 50% damage reduction
I do agree with the aspect of mages having the ability to dps and heal at the same time being pretty dominant but if we take Enchanted Forest for example warrior is superior because of its extra aoe, no delay cooldown, hitbox behind you and i believe extra range aswell. Also your opinion is pretty valid however i dont see any change in a while. Since these dungeons are huge the speed is kinda necessary. I personally think they should bring out a new buff spell that would completely change how we use inners. And also balance out both warrior and mage spells.
What would be fun is if your doing a raid like 4 or more people the bosses would have certain times when only the certain classes could hit them
a new ability that boosts your melee swing to 5x your ranged spell would be cool

Make the dungeons shorter but remove the speed spells completely. Like spells do 90% dmg and 45% defence for example or 90% dmg and 25% shorter cooldowns

Theres so much to add, maybe a medium/high cooldown Invincibility spell for tactical use or tank/healer spells that buff others dmg,speed or shield them.

Or they could add a new ability for specific not a spell, and the same for warriors, like if you press x for mage you use an ultimate, and if you press x for warriors you get like a mode that boosts dmg and maybe m1 range or something
Maybe they could add a passive system for each classe? So we can create new builds for each classe. Maybe they could add like actual quests in this game and the reward would be like a specific passive

I think everything in here is great, but the one aspect I don’t agree with is the idea of prohibiting eif/eir in the next dungeons. Perhaps they could develop a new play style, just don’t get rid of an old one because the same problem will just occur again. Keep a wide variety of options so people can do what they want.

Smh I had an old acc that was 174,and enchanted wasn't out.
But at that time, aquatic was so boring,it felt bland,and the fact that getting the leg spell was actually hard and not worth it kinda was sad.
I'm a bit mixed with the spell problem. I do agree that they should've have spells that dominate EIF/EIR I have a bigger problem with the value of these spells. So many people have these spells yet people still put them about as expensive as GS legs or hell even blue/purple GS. I would like something we got during Orbital where the speed spells just made it harder to dodge. Idk if I just haven't tried it yet in depth but I couldn't get through orbital without dying a hundred times USING a speed spell but I can easily beat it no hit without the speed spells. For player count I actually believe over 60% of the community quit DURING boss raids and most of them never came back. I still remembered dungeon quest having 23k or more players but after Tier 12, it reached no higher than 12k. Orbital, Volcanic, and Aquatic never reached the peak it once was. Being a game developer, I learned people just hate change in general. Nobody was bothered to adjust to new mechanics and the difficulty for new dungeons whilst beatable did not allow people to beat them first try which is something not found in Boss Raids and lower. Many of my friends quit dungeon quest for difficulty rather than repetition. I do wish this game gets much more popular like it did during Canals and Ghastly. One more side note for melee, its base scaling is from Desert Temple levels. They could have the multiplier go up with your physical power but I think that allows warriors to dominate mage in dungeons below Canals because in case you forgot, in Kings and lower, warrior shredded enemies with its melee alone so I think vCaffy is taking consideration for weaker players to ensure they don't just blast through dungeons easy peasy (which basically nobody does smh).
Edit: Something I thought about with warrior, I think they could try experimenting differences with mage and warrior and there would be some difficulties but here's what I generally would list out:
Mage: High damage and/or range but low HP
Warrior: Balanced range, damage, and HP
Guardian: High HP, Low damage

You have great points, the fact that those leg spells that are almost 2 years old are still ridiculously expensive is giving me second hand embarrassment. I saw some dude trading a purple low pot GS for a freaking ONE leg spell?! Leg spells value should drop A HUGE amount to prevent scams, I was almost scammed 5 times for my eif.
I don't believe that it will work having mage with higher dmg but war with better hp and range, mage will just be meta and almost no one will use war
I wanna see more support oriented non-healing spells that benefit a group rather then just the individual, maybe more tank abilities, i dont play it but to me it seems like the mages and warriors are hogging all the spells

this combined with the fact that most dungeons from orbital up are impossible to solo without decent gear from that dungeon made me quit at volcanic nightmare
i still can't do Volcanic Nightmare solo and i have a legendary weapon and almost maxed out lava king armour
you can always solo with blue+ tier 2 gear from the previous map with a purple weapon
Ngl I always really thought about this concept like an update with classes or maybe even a passive for armour. And I also agree with how it's been lately nothing seems to be the same like the trading network. maybe a better change in skills I've been straying farther and farther away from the game and I have a feeling that others feel the same
Ive been saying this since ef they have to change the spell meta because all the spells just feel redundant now. Neither class has a unique advantage over the other and all the spells regardless of range and tics have the same damage and cooldown.
one suck thing about dungeon quest are golds, i know as a beginner dungeon quest player, for you golds are like sands but when your level gets higher you realize you need a lot of golds to upgrade armory or weapons but every 100+ dungeon when you finish them it gives you very less ammount of gold and your demand of golds is getting higher as the level 100+ dungeons give you a crap amount of gold so basically it's hardly to be a person that is rich in gold as a level 100+ especially level 150+
bro im lvl 195 and still never got a leg spell.... i have been grinding for so long.
YES FINALLY SOMEONE POINTS IT OUT!! ever since orbital the game got slowly more and more boring for me and now it honestly feels like a chore to do the dungeon more than a few times a day. i wish they could just add a bit more variety to the spells and just change it back to how it used to be from desert to boss raids. i notice myself having a lot more fun playing those dungeons and actually willing to play again.
There is an idea of an ability that speeds up other long duration abilities, yet i dont sense in Lua and how hard it is to implement such a thing
Can’t wait until DQ gets old enough to have a “classic” DQ vs “modern” DQ video, though I would imagine it would mainly be focused on dungeons.
I played DQ until my character can solo at around Underworld Insane, and decided to quit DQ and eventually all of Roblox by having my Roblox account deleted.
Plus from what I have seen of the newer dungeons, they feel like more like playing a bullet hell game than an adventure game where you spam one buff skill and one attacking skill to win.
Honestly it’s also Inner rage spells and the leg spells, we been using the same spells for more than the 2 years which is repetitive. It’s the climate of high level players, you use your inner rage and then the one tick then you wait for the cooldown. All and all repetitive and I hope the devs fix it, and yea melee basically hasn’t been useful since maybe canals or not even at all

For me with the spells, I've noticed that i barely even did any runs in northern lands after about a month or so because it was just too boring to repeat the same thing over and over for hours at a time. I just collected my daily every day and that was about it. I do think that we need new mechanics in the game because the gameplay has been pretty much the same since 2020. EIR/EIF and NM spell, in the same dungeon. I couldn't play the game for a while, anytime i tried playing or soloing i just gave up after one or two runs because I got bored. Another thing about EIR/EIF, they're way too overpriced, and I just never trade them because unlike dungeon items, their value will never be the same. Something that would be a W in one dungeon would be an L as soon as the next one comes out. Desperate traders giving their legendary spells away for items people will be able to get for nothing in just a few days. About the melee, I think there's almost no point in being a warrior anymore, the whole "unique" thing about the class itself was the fact that it did damage with swings. Now, it's just mage but worse. Why would you go in for melee hits when you could just stand 50 feet away and hit the boss with your spell? for me, (this is kinda weird) it's not really as fun or exciting because you don't feel like you're in a battle, like you need to fight for your life, you arent hitting them with your sword in a close battle, its just moving and hitting q and e. I would like to see new spells though, I think it would be quite interesting, and it would be nice if they gave us multiple choices for how we want to play, maybe we want to use 2 speed spells, or EIR/EIF and a one tick spell, or two normal spells, and make them all viable options instead of building the game up around the same EIR/EIF gameplay. ok that concludes my essay thank you for reading

I think an alternative could be to add a teleporting spell and see how it does.
In my opinion mages should only be able deal damage and not heal itself, let that task go to the tank class.

for me the problem is the difficulties starts from volcanic map and i dont feel the gameplay with healers/supports bruh ( im still playing dungeon but i do most is the RPG SIM because everyclass is good and mechanics
what if they made e/ir and e/if like a permament upgrade or an accessory of some sort? if the game got focused on fast movement, why not make the faster movement permament? it has 1 sec cooldown either way and the rng of the attacks sometimes just does suck
I see people that have had 20 legs spells and to me it's disappointing to see them hog the spells so other would make offers just to be turned away. The market for leg spells is actually out of control

Multiple ticks spells are just like 1 tick spells like if a spell is 8 sticks it would just do the same dmg if it were 1 tick except its divided into 8 ticks taking longer to finish the damage
Got to lvl 220 but gave up thru boredom, frustration with devs failure to fix quality of life issues, and terrible drop rates. Since DQ effectively dead they might as well shake it up. Ghastly/steampunk spells were more fun.
tbh i was hoping they added the new leg spells that we in the leaks, and they werent just like eir and eif, but had a new twist on it, idk thats just me

There are some that I would really like DQ to have like for example the bosses moving instead of being in one spot there are only I think 5 or 4 dungeons that have bosses move while the rest just stay at one spot another thing I want DQ to have is the spells having effects and enemies having resistance for example let’s just say u have a spell that is a ice dmg effect some enemies are good with the ice dmg while the other could resist it by like a % and u dealing less dmg that way we could have different spell we can change during the dungeon like u switch to a lighting spell and some enemies are weaken to it and some that can resist it one more thing and that is having like a new sub stat on the armors like we have warrior power mage power and hp I feel like they should add a defense stat so we don’t keep getting one shot every time instead of increasing our hp to resist getting one shot I hope I explained it well enough that y’all can understand what I’m saying I’m bad at explaining it typing it/writing it but I tried what do y’all think about what I said and thx for reading this whole ESSAY
tbh doing around 2k rounds for leg spell is not worth it since its only a extra 10% which not really worth like grinding hours for extra 10% more dmg and wont benefit us that much
Boss raids made took away all my motivation. I couldn’t even get to orbital thanks to them
I believe at least 3 tick spells should be back and that eir and EIF need to be replaced with a damage dealing speed spell that give maybe like a 10 or 20% damage boost that you can also use pure damage spells in just too change up game play a bit.
Also a new class like class that could implement like a rally call to buff teammates could be made but people without discord would be progressing even slower it could also Include powerful long range tap moves that do a fraction of ability damage but have like a 0.2 second cooldown would be cool.
Honestly leg spells piss me off. I did hundreds if not thousands of vc at ef and nl runs and not once did i get one. When I did get one, it was out of my daily during the double luck christmas event. Then someone lowballed the fuck out of me and I lost it. I have yet to get another one. The drop rates are sad, the thought of being able to trade for one gets people rolling on the floor like dogs, they basically destroyed the dq trading scene.

I can really agree I nearly quit when northern lands came out and now I am back and its getting more boring so I ended up playing crusaders more on roblox including crawl

I quit for 2 and a half years lol. Played volcanic got maxed and left. Aquatic came and only played first day of update cuz it was boring. Then came back like June of this year. So yea I quit for 2 and half years

Holy crap i have been looking for a video like this, you do not understand how much i hate the combat system in dq atm because war weapon's melee is useless because of how much you need to dodge. Now for my suggestions for the game
1st revamp the combat system as i said melee with war weapons is useless at high level
2nd WHERES THE QUESTS its called dungeon QUEST for a reason there needs to be a daily/weekly quest
Such as complete a dungeon under x amount of time or a quest that connects with skill points
3rd this one isnt really needed but when you select a dungeon and difficulty there could be a little window where it shows the loot you can get and their chances probably make ot scrollable because there is alot and i mean alot of stuff you can get in ONE single difficulty
4th a trading hub, hear me out i dont want to see "TRADING GS LEG FOR blah blah blah" every time i go to lobby 2 this might not work out because like 60 percent of players just collect and trade everyday sooo
5th holy dinglesticks please make the dungeons actually possible to solo if u just unlocled it, lets face it people dungepn quest orbital above is either carried or grind 10 hours for 3 levels

Remove inner spells, they make spells all the same type where there is no speed change and same type. They should remove eir and eif and start again with unique formal spells
It would be cool if an war weapon did a speical move every sertain amount of cliks

A cool spell would be a spell that inflicts a debuff, lowering the 5 closests targets defense by 50%.
So what if there was a spell that had 2 alternating modes. Such as a one tick explosion mode, or a long ranged attack. It can be toggle switched by pressing r or something.

that would take away the simplicity of dungeon quest that helped it get popular

I feel like they need more support ability’s and more tank ability’s as well certain armors give certain buffs for team to make more armors useful then just warrior/mage. As well they need to make leveling easier for lower dungeons and make easy to hard dungeon so its not just getting harder and harder and harder and harder now they have to stick with using only certain spells making it repetitive and annoying when it just gets only harder

No that is horrible in desert it was balanced by your meelee actually doing damage but now your meelee does like0.1% of the enemy's dmg and most enemies have attacks that hit near them so no that's a horrible idea

I agree with you, the inner focus spells are sort of ruining the game now because now at this time we all have the same game play like everyone above 150 is just inner focus ability, inner focus, ability, and inner focus ability. it just makes the game boring. Like we need other spells we can use instead of just inner focus. When they released inner focus is was a good update but now everyone who's above 150 all have the same gameplay I have never seen a single player use ability and ability. What I think would be a good fix to melee is to have it like critical hits definely up the dmg like melee is just dead now its's only good for carrying tbh. If the Dungeon Quest devs see this PLEASE PLEASE fix this. "I a 100% agree with you"

Dungeon queset idea: better chance to not acedentilly hit the shift lock button then u shoort the wrong way: this thing is really a problem even tho i just experienced it myself it made me smah my ipad add a toggle button for all buttons
They should add buff spell for the team and maybe more tank abilities and support abilities
its also because its to hard to gain exp and we have to grind like 3000 levels to get to the next dungeon

the problem whit leg spell is that is its only 10% more its like you are grinding for 10 more percent and the reason of that is that people who ask raids are asking people to own eir/eif
before inner rage and inner focus people just used innervate and fire bomb or innervate and skull flames.
Last time warrior was good was steampunk and that was because of the range of the chain ability

the only reason i quit was because my main got banned for "cross trading" when it didn't even happen and i just made it a joke so i got banned for basically nothing :(

tbh the drop rates are suppppper low and now we had eir and eif for a couple of dungeon it just gets boring vcaffy also left behind the taunt spells which is kinda annoying because we really need guards and I understand we don’t need the enemy’s to follow us but Atleast make new stuff plus now war and mage only gets 2 spells 1 that’s like garbage and 1 that’s good for both classes and once in a while he drops a heal spell I want more variety in the game and the drop rates for the leg spells are garbage because it’s 1/2000 but now it’s super repetitive and still value is really high which is annoying once I quit for 4 months from nl to wait for leg spells value to drop down because at the time it was very high and I thought it would go down but it didn’t even change leg spells too over rated and I kinda miss the old spells
another topic it kinda is annoying because the mobs are SUPER repitive they shoot beams that give a warning And then in a second or 2 light up vcaffy is getting lazy on these attacks we had them since vc and they keep doing it

You should give venture tale, its another dungeon crawler game, with a bunch of different loadouts and classes

I 100% agree with you, Vcaffy should change the game by adding new spells that will stop eir/eif or it will destroy DQ.

I want spells that have speed in em not eir and eif ik tired of them and I want spells that do more tics and have more speed that would be more fun
Hate leg spells, even in trading, theres just so many of em and their demand is trash and still ppl overvalue them alot...
