On 05/04/2024 San Juanita Leal was able to accomplish the unthinkable and obtain 3 Medal, 2 gold in the 3,200 and 1,600 meter events and 1 bronze in the 800 meter event, in this years 6A Girls Texas State Championship Track Meet. This interview segment was covered by KRGV Channel 5 News

Very inspiring! The video where SJ raced in a thunderstorm randomly popped up in my UA-cam feed so I watched it and couldn’t believe what I saw! SJ is very talented and hard working and it’s nice to see runners of color coming up big at an elite level. Rooting for SJ all the way from San Francisco! She’s going to do big things college and beyond!
