Do you throw trout pattern lures?? What are your favorite styles??
I dont usually fish in lakes that have trout in them so it just never crossed my mind. I fish more bass and muskie pike things that are in my area if i was somewhere else id fish for other things though. And catfish of course. But if i had one of your baits it would prob just be sitting on the mantle
Nope never seen a trout in my life I use blue gill lures because South Carolina doesn’t have many trout sadly 😢
Yes as I live in north Idaho so trout are a common forage fish for the bass and Pike, but what I really want is a good Kokanee salmon color. Blue and white work okay or black and silver pearl but when fresh and bait sized Kokanee have so much color and reflection that almost color shifts on the back.
I'm in south Florida and I fish the flats for redfish snook trout tarpon triple tail cobia ect. I go through lots of baits cause of the aggressiveness of these fish so I have been thinking about pouring my own and found your channel. Im learning a lot no equipment yet.
Have you done any videos with hooks in the the baits or weighted hooks in the baits?
Just started soft bait making yesterday, inspired by your channel and the techniques you have. My first few were lousy, but my latest ones are looking much better. I learned on this video I didn't cook them long enough on one technique. Thank you so much!

Those look great. There's a lake near me that's managed for trophy-size walleye (and it has a lot of them) and they also stock rainbow trout in the spring and fall. Most of the stockers are 8-10" but some are smaller, and those big walleyes chow down on them. Big lake trout and brown trout also eat rainbows. I have used jointed Rapalas in rainbow trout pattern with success but they are expensive and hard to find. Would much rather throw soft plastic at 'em. Nice job!

I made some "Baby Bass" core shots and I thought you could make them better than me. Made the shells a more translucent watermelon green with a touch of green pumpkin with .008 gold and .040 green flake (wish I had gold hi-lite) and the core is solid black. Just a challenge idea for you! I would like to see a professional make it! I miss the color of the day!

Looks pretty darn good, although maybe more black flake on the pink and a tiny bit in the white but it’ll defenetly catch big’ns
Yeah you can choose to add color and flake wherever you think is best.. that's the magic of making your own lures

Awesome trout fishing I love trout fishing too bad around here the population has declined so much I am a young kid I do a UA-cam channel for fishing called fish for dinner I recently just did some trout fishing and there was none there and just last year I was there and there was lots as catching them about five at a time each time I went now there is known and here they do not stalk at all not even once so it is all on the anglers to keep a steady population I live watching trout fishing such beautiful fish I recently caught my pb bass though 38 inches long!! Monster bass 😊

Chris you need to try to pour a California trout a real challenge to do the California trout is extinct and no longer exist but it has orange in it!

I’ve been doing it for a 2 months now and just had my first custom order! So I wanted to ask you how you handle yours? Do you ask for a deposit before creating the order? Or do you take the full payment beforehand? I was thinking about making a few samples of the order and then sending pictures of it to make sure it is what they wanted Before I create the entire order. Those came out nice! Random question do you have any tips and tricks for getting your white baits to come out really white? I have been doing my own baits thanks to your help but my whites are coming out more yellowish. Imagine I am maybe cooking the plastisol to hot? Thanks in advance and keep up the great videos. The extra parts of the video showing how you rig them and in use footage are cool, I vote to keep doing that.
