I'm happy that I got my 96 Impala SS car and also it is going up in value you better get them while they are still at 20, something thousands of dollars.
I've had my 69 since 96 but like you don't mind full builds it was complete.even if you know what your doing its still a lot of work and money and shit was cheepish then.it gets to the stage you can't drive them cause they worth so much.i still got mine and use it to get my groceries and cruise.worth more than money to me cause I built it.keep up the good work man I like your honesty.it is what it is🇳🇿
@@BRIANBEALERisRoundemUp well my 69 camaro was burglarized while we were out of town front fenders for stolen motor transmission and the wheels and my gauges I left it sitting on blocks in my garage fortunately no neighbors could say that they saw a damn thing which I have a feeling they were in on it I still got the car after all these years I put some wheels on it and it's just sitting in the corner of the garage I got another engine and transmission for it the seats wasn't good but they're still usable I haven't been able to find used fenders for it and it's $700 for a pair of aftermarket shity ones
In 1986 I bought a 68 Camaro.one owner 68k rust free.327 3spd . I bought it from a body guy. He just put a nice paint job on it. It was his aunts car. I paid $3,500 for it!I put a BB CHEV.4spd and 12bolt/ 4:10 in it.That thing ran GREAT! I wish I still had it.
If your interested in buying a 67 be sure to watch the Oldsmobile 442 search we just done at the end we had another Bonus Pick of the Day that could help you get another one 👍
I couldn't agree more, I went to a auto auction today, I'm always looking, 67-69 Camaro's are a dime a dozen, anyway I left and stopped by my sister's house to get my 97 Trans Am that she graciously let's me keep in the garage, it's a weekend toy/ Hotrod, I often think about getting something else, but I wiped it down, fired it up, stopped to get gas down the road and lo and behold I got two compliments on it!, I have owned this car for almost 15 years and have received numerous compliments, granted I have way more in it than I will ever get out of it, but it should not be about money, I'm not a car show, sit in a lawn chair type of guy, but I truly appreciate it when people dig my shit!😀
I was going to time capsule a bunch of these back when you could buy them for 1800$ with less than 70, ooo miles. I knew one day about 30 years later they would be worth big bucks. Couldn't get anyone to help and couldn't get it done on my own. Working class paycheck guy. Be rich now, had the barns to do it also.
When I was 15 years old in 1979 I bought a 69 z/28 blue with white stripes for $700. Offal used car lot earlier that day before I found the camaro I found a 70 charger 426 hemi 2 4s 4 speed crager rims for $895. My older brother would not let me buy it so I bought the camaro
I know what u mean I was buying and selling 67 69 Camaros in the 80s never payed more then 500 for them this is crazy and I bought 55 57 Chevys had tons of them .these prices today are crazy
@@DPapas Viewers in Australia have said same so guess still not as bad as could be right? I'm always tying find that shinny side everything but classic cars being listed for 50 60 100k just out right ridiculous only ones playing them prices are ones that don't know how work on a car if they had too...
I totally understand what you're saying bother, I just t don't know when this happened. I still have an auto trader from 1993, and they are asking 20k for a totally restored 69 camaro. FYI, this is my top bucket list car.

Sadly these high prices are slowly killing the hobby . Hopefully in time there will be a reset and the market will right itself, until then it seems everyone is trying to retire on their car sale. Oo and it's not just America, i'm in Australia, and the old car market is insane . I love your honesty and you say it like it is..keep up the searches..Love it!!

I've got a '69 SS I bought running driving 6 years ago for 12K. I'm all in about 25K having replaced / updated all that needed doing. I drive the car regularly in the summer and hadn't looked at what values had done since I got it. Nice to know I'm not upside down, but I still drive the car and only use the value to adjust insurance. Here's the thing. I also collect guitars, and their values in some cases have skyrocketed to the point that the average musician will never own or play a 1955 to 1960 Les Paul, as they are worth 6 to 7 figures. This for a guitar that cost a couple of hundred new. Is there 100K in wood and parts? No. Is the guitar worth that much? If the last few of the same year and similar condition sold for that then yes, that's what it's worth. Why is it worth that much? Because the market set the price there. Of course high end collector auctions have driven these prices up, but they are what they are. The good news is barring a bubble the prices will only continue to go up, so you won't be upside down on the other end. Cars are a bit different as you have to take into account both restoring the car if you get a roller, and maintaining and storing the car. If you get something desirable like a 69 Camaro / Chevelle / Corvette, unless you spend high 5 figures to restore the car you should still have some profit margin that will only increase with time. Just be sure to check the VIN against the body tag to make sure the trim matches, and have someone go over the car in depth to ensure it's not a nice looking roller with rust hiding under the paint. Otherwise, look at it as a retirement investment that does burnouts. Mine does particularly smoky ones ;-)
These people are losing there freaking minds in 1979 I bought a 69 Z28 DZ 302 4 speed original paint silver with black stripes black interior 56 thousand miles never wrecked original owner original paint they were asking 3k I brought 3k with me and put 2700 in one pocket the rest in the other pocket she said 2800 was her rock bottom price I told her let's meet in the middle so all I had was 20s so I pulled out 60 bucks and never asked for the ten dollars back so for $2760 I got a 1 owner car that i drove and raced for 4 years before I blew the motor I pulled the 4 speed out and got 5k for the roller that car still looked great when I sold it. People are retarded with the prices they are asking for chevelles camaros novas and tri 5s I'll just find a 4 door tri r that's solid and cheap and do a 2 door conversion. Thanks for the video your friend from Louisiana Rick 427
I agree that it's very steeply priced but they are a very sought-after car. I have one sitting in my garage and if I leave the garage door open I have every joe blow stopping over trying to buy it for me. I literally had to beat them off with a stick. I had one guy religiously kept coming over to see if I was going to sell it after I told him no 100 times. He was stalking my car.
That's kind of problem rich people paying more than what all classics are worth... I don't think any rusted out car is worth more than 5K but hey that's me.
